About
Buffalo Run Golf Course is a locally acclaimed 18-hole, municipal course in Commerce City. The links-style layout covers 7,411 yards from its longest tees with a par of 72. Designed by Keith Foster, there are challenging elements such as water hazards and bunkers that come into play on the course. The wind creates difficulty on this golf course. Buffalo Run Golf Course's front nine is less challenging than the back nine but it builds up good practice for the second half of the game. One hole to note is the demanding 13th hole. It is a par-3 that has a well-placed bunker near the green.

I guess that’s what you get for $40. The course is really chewed up, greens rolling at about a 1…and that’s if you’re not putting through a bunker.
Disappointing
I've always liked the course, but it is in horrible shape. I know we had a rough winter, but the fairways, greens and landscape look like a battlefield. Awful! Hope you can get things back to normal soon.
Front 9
The front nine was a little rough! Fairways we’re in pretty bad shape. Not sure if the bunkers are supposed to be manicured, but if they are then those need to be worked on. Still had a good time.
Once good, could be again
No advance notice of aerated greens. Most of the greens had so much sand you could not see the grass through the sand. To their credit the pratice green was the same as the actual greens, but I use it because I didnt think the actual greens would be that bad! No chipping area as it is under repair. The course had several areas under repair and/or large areas that were dead or dying. Even at $43, with cart, I don’t think it was worth it. I have played this course for years, usually 2 or 3 times in a season, last time time played was late August last year. Normally it is in good to above average shape and a fun course to play. Hopefully they get the issues worked out, I wont return until they do.

A heads up would have been appreciated
We play the course a few times a year. Last Tuesday was disappointing. Arrived for a 1240 tee time. Advised the front nine was closed for aeration and we had to play the back 9 twice. Weather was perfect but they had aerated the back 9 greens the day before and they were heavily sanded as well. We muddled through and it was fun but it was disappointing.
Poor Condition
I know it’s still early April, but the course is in very poor condition. Hit out of dirt from middle of the fairway on 1&2, very poorly patched green on 4. Paid for 18 but only played 9 as it didn’t feel like real golf. Might use the 9 hole rain check in a few months if conditions improve.
Buffalo Run
Excellent course, they’re already watering the greens and as the season moves to summer play will become more challenging.
