Golf Advisor: Top 25 Most Improved U.S. Golf Courses (2022 #16)
Reviews
I would definitely recommend this course for your average golfer. Tee boxes are hard on most of the holes. Greens not bad to be honest. I will give the fairways some grace though it hasn’t rained in awhile so they were firm. Other than that a solid course would recommend going with your friends
Ball sits nicely.
No specific turf grass on tees and greens but well cut and the ball sits nicely throughout the course. It's a shame the bunkers have all been abandoned.
Needs some updates to fairways and tee boxes
The fairways and tee boxes need to be cut much shorter. The staff was super helpful in getting me out earlier as a single and I played 18 in little over 2.5 hours. Great day on the course
Golf!
Overall a good value $20. Lots of weeds, some cart paths are rough and grass is here and there. Played well and the score reflected it (81). It was warm today and the ball rolled a long way on the hard fairways which I’m sure saved a stroke or two. I like this place but it could use some simple fixes to take advantage of its location to downtown STL!
Radioactive
You can hear the sizzle of the electricity lines hanging overhead on a couple holes. The course was in bad shape, greens felt like a warzone - dimples everywhere. The sunset out there was nice and we had a few deer sightings. I’d probably go back sometime.
Nope
The course conditions were well below expectations. Greens: The greens were in rough shape. Some were so riddled with bare spots and sand it felt more like putting on a bunker than a green. Fairways: The fairways were not much better. Pretty overgrown in spots. Tees: These were awful! Tee boxes were unlevel and overgrown in many places, making it hard to find a good spot to tee off. Certainly, an area of neglect. Bunkers: The bunkers were rock-hard clearly not maintained. Overall, I wouldn’t golf this track again.
Good value
This course is ok. Not a bad value for the money but lots of weeds and some trees down from the storm last week. Tee boxes are rough but playable and they were mowing as we were playing. All in all we just wanted to swing a club and we did!
Poor maintenance- never playing here again.
This used to be a nice course. It is now a Municipal course run by Cahokia heights so CARELESS. No grass on the tees, no mowing, no basic care and maintenance. Overgrown sand traps. Driving range is a joke.
