Good challenging course
We were staying at Hilton and decided to play , course is in good shape now , very challenging but fun course . Bunkers need more sand .
Staff was friendly .
WORST COURSE IN THE CHICAGO ARE
$80-60 to play.
The course is in awful condition and the pace pf play is terrible. The sand traps, if you want to call them that, are horrendous. Your clubs will be caked on mud after your round and the now longer wipe them down for you despite keeping the price high.
They used to have nice young men working here, now it's grumpy old dudes.
There's a good chance you may get hit by a tracker while playing. Good luck finding your ball in the rough.
They used to have beverage carts but that is gone as well.
Finally, they let dudes play without shirts. Gross.
This is the WORST course in the Chicago area
$75 - $80 for a round.
The course is in shambles to a point where it is a terrible experience. There’s a good chance your golf cart will be run off the road by a tractor. Sand traps are a disaster. Your clubs will be caked in mud after a round here. They used to wipe your clubs down after but refuse to do it now.
And think about this - at least $75 for a round and there’s dudes playing without shirts on. Gross.
Needs work
I’ve always liked this course but it has definitely beeb neglected in the past few years. It seems they are making strides at catching up on repairs.
Terrible Experience
Course was wet and cart path only which was appropriate but many people did not follow that rule and thar really affected the pace of play. There were no Rangers or staff on the course. The bathrooms were all locked with only portable toilets and while there was a beverage cart they had very few choices. There was a fivesome 4 holes ahead of us that really backed us up. We will not be back.
Great condition….
Fast greens, even after the recent rains. Bunkers being renovated. Fairways in great shape.
Beginning of the Season
The course was great. Still working on getting the traps up to speed. Lots of rocks in the traps currently.
Great Course
Very well maintained course even early in the season. Pace was slow but it was still fun. Great layout and challenging placement of bunkers. Overall great course, definitely on my list again
Only can get better
The course and weather was great. New electric golf carts zipped us around quietly and golf completed in 3 hours 15 minutes. All sand traps are being worked on and expected to be completed in 2 to 3 weeks. I expect that by early May, the golf course will be out of hibernation and ready to golf.
Almost a great course
I’ve played in spring, summer and fall. This was the first (and earliest) in spring. The grass is always well maintained. Drainage seems better, though it was a dry winter. The only real issue I have it the traps are first and mud with a little sandy trace. It’s that way in summer too. For the money I think the course should be a little better. Nearby Oak Brook is in better shape for a little less on average. But I do enjoy WC and will be back.
Course condition
Overall condition is good except bunkers poor condition. with plenty of stone and gravel
Very nice course
Course in great shape and is very nice layout. Great deal too.
Greens has just been aerated that morning. It would have been helpful if golf now had included that information before I prepaid for the tee time
Bunkers were mud not sand and pace of play was poor with no course Marshall’s
Will not use golf now in the future since you fail to include critical course intel
Fun course to play greens were in fair shape. Seen them much better in the past.
Significant overcharge
First of all it’s $80 becuase it’s attached to a hotel, but apperantly they forgot they have to still take care of the golf course. The carts are also extremely slow with no extra amenities, along with the greens being beat up it leaves you wondering where they got the $80 price tag. Believe the other reviews, it should be around $60 max, there are much better value courses don’t bother
Nice layout
Sand traps were not maintained and has a negative effect on scores.
Snails pace
The course itself is pretty nice nothing stunning but very good for the area. Pace of play was the worst ever and shouldn’t be that poor. 3 separate groups playing 1 hole and it takes me and a buddy 45 minutes to play the 10th and 11th hole. We drive up to the 12th tee box and there is two separate foursomes sitting waiting to tee off. If the pace of play was even semi-normal it would’ve been a much better experience.
