Muggy and mucky
Nothing against the course, it was very hot and humid. Some muddy spots...one person slipped and fell. Lots of mosquitos; fortunate that my spray worked great. Pace of play was slow.
Another Forest Preserve gem
While it was very soggy on the course, this is one of the longer of the forest preserve courses. Fairly wide fairways. Greens were in good condition. I really wish the forest preserve and CPD courses had signs encouraging people to fix their ball marks.
Enjoyable
Pace was slightly slow. Enjoyable group. Just enough breeze to prevent mosquitos.
Pleasant round
Pace was slightly slow but okay. Some dry spots. Greens were fine. Good group.
Slow round
Great staff helped me get out earlier but slow play made it a three hour round. No noticeable gaps, don't want to blame the women's league.
Great Course, Staff, and Marshall
No problems. Got off early despite being a single. Paired with nice folks. Left a club on course but got it back next day.
Slow play: result rain
Idiots that stood at their carts for 5 minutes after each hole caused my group to get caught in the rain for our final holes. Also the last holes are filled with mosquitos. Staff are great but wish they could have a ranger to keep things moving.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Pace of Play is important to us and we will double efforts to make sure we are getting around more and keeping the flow moving.
Hope to see you back on the course soon.

Meadowlark Golf Course
Too long for the typical golfer here, they need to move up. Slow. Course should move tee colors forward.
The place is full of golfers who are not good and don’t hit very far. Which is okay! But the tee color positions are too far back, and the golfers are playing way too long for their abilities. Causing VERY SLOW PLAY. Please move the whites up to where the reds are now. I suggest the following arrangement:
Black (replace existing blues)
Blue (replace existing whites)
White (replace existing reds)
Red: new tees at 2000 yards
My course did the same basic thing. People moved up, and pace of play improved! It costs almost nothing, and dramatically improves customer satisfaction.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review. We will also review your idea on the tees, We have limited tee box space so could be a bit difficult but it is a fine idea.

Alright for a cheap game
Didn’t love the layout of this course - holes are parallel to one another so you have other groups losing balls in your fairway and vice versa. The staff was friendly, no amenities but that’s what you’d expect. It’s fine for a cheap round but it definitely feels like a forest preserve course - wouldn’t plan a day around it but it’s a fair value
Appreciate taking the time to leave us a review. Can do too much about hole locations but would love to hear how we can improve the player experience. Feel free to reach out at info.meadowlark@forestpreservegolf.com with any ideas.
