This is a so so course. I have lived here for 16 years and just now played the course. No one really talks about it and I can see why. The area around the course is really rough.

Well maintained course and friendly staff

A really great golf course. Fairways are in great condition and the greens are pristine and predictable. We were finished in just under 4 hours.

This course good for all handicaps.

This was the 1st time we have played here. The course was in good shape other than bunkers. Would play here again. Great cost using Golfnow site.

It's tight but fair

despite the fact i really don't have the game to do really well on this course I did really enjoy the round. Everything was great but the way that I played. if you have trouble with the driver you will spend a little time looking for your ball that will be in the yards of some apartments and some houses but if you canb control for hooks and slices you will have fun. the fairways were great, the tee boxes were freshly mowed and the greens areawesome. I can't wait to go back and play it again!

Wonderful course

This was my first time playing Valle Vista in 2 years and the course was everything I remembered. I enjoy the narrow fairways as it makes you be accurate with your shots and eliminates the "grip it and rip it" mind set. Hope to make it back before the end of the year. Played in under 3 1/2 hours, awesome.

Tree lined fairways with townhouses.

The course overall was in okay shape quite a bite of grounds under repair, so they are trying to fix bad spots. Greens could use some attention also, hole locations made it a good challenge on the day I played.

Nice Course, Friendly Staff, Great Price

Golf staff brought our cart straight to our vehicle as soon as we pulled into the parking lot and got us set off with ease. Course was in good shape and we only got held up for a couple holes on the front 9, back 9 was wide open for the rest of the round. At the end of the round the golf staff took our cart back for us after we took our clubs off at our vehicle. VIP service and a good round of golf for only $17, how can you top that?

Don't pay full price!

Valle Vista, perhaps understandably, places a high priority on wedding business, sometimes forcing golfers to detour around the clubhouse to accommodate the wedding. It's a minor inconvenience -- usually only on Saturdays but sometimes Sundays, too. A bigger issue might be the sand (or lack thereof) in bunkers -- it's pretty much just baked dirt. I noticed some significant patches of damaged turf on the greens as well. Valle Vista isn't a bad place to play, but I wouldn't pay full price.

Short and Challenging

This course is well maintained with lightning quick greens. It is shorter course, but do not let that fool you. The challenge is still there with the fairway bunkers and elevated greens. It's a must play in the Indianapolis area.

some really long par 4's

course was in great shape, but all course are with the rain we have had, front nine is a lot harder than the back. We only paid $20 so for that price it was a great value.

Not well maintained. A variety of holes and lengths.

We played an early round and waited at least 5 minutes on every tee and at least a few minutes on every approach shot. No pace of play enforced. It was cart path only. For what reason? I'm not sure because it was dry. The course is in poor shape and was not mowed....and it was the 4th of July! Won't play here again.

Large greens, rolled true. Fun course, yet challenging, especially with some water along the fairways on the back nine.

One of my top 10 courses in the Indianapolis/Lafayette area. Good value for the money. First time I've played this course - will definitely go back again.

Great conditions, old ignorant staff

The conditions at this course were very good. The distances were fairly challenging and the greens are quick and difficult if you put yourself in a bad spot. I have no complaints about the course itself. However, the staff is a different story. The cart rule was 90 degrees and my foursome had been playing for about 40 minutes. We were on the tee at #4 when an employee drove up telling us how ridiculous it was that we were driving on greens and tee boxes and spending 40 minutes to look for our balls. Halfway through his speech we cut him off and said it wasn't us we haven't even been playing for 40 minutes. He then says he was told a group of 4 guys were the ones doing it. 4 guys really narrows it down on a golf course. He kept talking and we just ignored him and prepared to tee off. He left after telling us not to do it again or we were kicked off. Completely asinine employees.

Poor customer service

The staff in the pro shop was one of the most unfriendly and unaccommodating staffs I have ever been involved with at any public golf course. I don't believe anyone at Valle Vista cares at all if anyone plays their course or ever decides to come back. Take my advice and play a different course in the greenwood area!!

Great variety of holes situated within a housing development.

The course provides a good balance of routine to challenging holes that all have greens that exhibit character and require a good read to close the deal.

Frustrating

So I booked a 12:15 tee time through golfnow for 20.00 a person with cart, great deal. When I showed up at 12:00 there were five groups ahead of us including a group of five. So at 12:18 I went in and told the golf pro that there were still 3 groups ahead of me and to see if I could start on the back nine, he told me no although I didnt see anyone on the 9th hole. In addition the fairways have not been cut, they were as long as the rough should be, there was no maintinance. Also the clubhouse did not enforce any dress code there were multiple guys out there in running shoes, blue jeans and t shirts.

Overall, a great day on the golf course.

Greens, tee boxes, fairways in super shape. Narrow fairways, so you need to be precise. Missed not having tee box markers or ball washing stations out due to late in the season.
