About
Oak Springs Golf Club is tucked away amid the rolling hills and wooded plains of St. Anne. Though it feels peacefully secluded, it's conveniently situated less than an hour from Chicago. As one of the premiere golf courses in Kankakee County, it has a layout that appeals to players of all skill levels and it's also one of the most affordable rounds in the area. There are some challenging holes but the rough is very forgiving in case hitting it straight isn't one of your strengths. The front nine features fairways lined with mature trees and there are some tough par 3s to contend with. The more player-friendly back nine at Oak Springs Golf Club is wide open and offers some great scoring opportunities. There are subtle but tricky undulations throughout and you'll also run into water occasionally.

always is great condition
As usual the course was in fantastic shape. The course never disappoints. It is one of my favorite courses in the area to play.
Nice course
Nice course. A little off the beaten path, but worth it since it is usually not crowded and in great shape with a good mix of holes.
The pace of play is my biggest complaint about the course. I had a 11:30 tee time on a Monday. I waited to tee off at every single tee box, sometimes 10-15 minutes, and I'm not that fast of a golfer. The people in front of me would look back, see me standing at the tee waiting, then go back to looking for their ball in the DEEP rough, about 50 yards from the tee box. I tried skipping ahead, but had similar experiences.. Really strange, but players here seem to give less of a flip about holding others up, more so than other courses... Maybe I just got unlucky, but if it's like this midday on a non-holiday Monday, I can't imagine during a typical busy time. The front 9 are somewhat interesting, through a wooded area, but the back 9 are kind of flat and boring. Some areas of the fairways are bare/in rough shape. If they had a ranger out keeping up the pace, or spaced tee times out a bit more, I think this would be a much better course. But as it stands, with the inconvenient location, I will not be returning.

Weather was great. Pace of play on Saturday afternoon was awesome. Great people working there. If they would trim trees on hole 6 and 14, course would be better.

Today’s pace of play in the afternoon was awesome until we caught up to the two fivesomes. Why doesn’t management tell the fivesomes to allow all others to play thru?
There are a few spots that need to have tree branches trimmed so you can hit the ball in the fairway.
Excellent
Great greens for a public course. Sand traps were groomed and in great shape. Pace of play was outstanding for a weekend. 50.00 for our area is a little steep with practice balls....but, it was overall a excellent experience. Food in the clubhouse was excellent and reasonably priced.
Good but
Nice course. Great people but the need a ranger. 3 some backed everyone up. They had a ranger for their outing which isn’t needed for an outing. They should have one for the golfers. Also few spots need to trim the trees.
Fun
Course was in great shape, pace of play was awesome as not many people were golfing. The staff there is always friendly - good people there!
Favorite course
Great course for groups of all sizes and motivations. Sunny wide open course, incredibly kept and worth every penny.

Destination Kohler - Champions' Trail Golf Package
As a long time golf at Oak Spring I just want to remind you that on Mondays they have 2 leagues. The morning one is a shotgun start with several overlapping tee boxes and doesn't get done until about noon. the pm league tees off from 3 to 5pm
