Oak Springs Golf Course
About
Oak Springs Golf Club is tucked away amid the rolling hills and wooded plains of St. Anne. Though it feels peacefully secluded, it's conveniently situated less than an hour from Chicago. As one of the premiere golf courses in Kankakee County, it has a layout that appeals to players of all skill levels and it's also one of the most affordable rounds in the area. There are some challenging holes but the rough is very forgiving in case hitting it straight isn't one of your strengths. The front nine features fairways lined with mature trees and there are some tough par 3s to contend with. The more player-friendly back nine at Oak Springs Golf Club is wide open and offers some great scoring opportunities. There are subtle but tricky undulations throughout and you'll also run into water occasionally.

Great Shape
It had been awhile since I played Oak Springs. The course was in "great shape". They have the best course in Kankakee County. I'd play this course again.
The "Must Play" course this year.
I have played this course over the past 35 years and i can say that it has never looked better.
The new General Manager, Zach Mullady is doing a fantastic job!
The was in good shape
It was not the course we had an issue with... it was the staff...wow, they do not like us playing golf now and getting good deals... we have been there numerous times before but this time they were very vocal on golf now users..
Very nice big trees
hit them straight or play pin ball in the trees, its fun
Good course
Nice place, can't beat Hot Deals! Course condition was on point!
Pleasant course to play - trees can be a challenge
This was a pleasant course to play. It was forgiving in some areas and challenging on some holes as you can get stuck in the trees. Hit 'em straight and you can avoid any headaches.
Fast rolling greens
Overall, nice course, cheep beer,, fast greens. Fairways needed mowing, but had an interesting layout.
Course in gear shape
Course was enjoyable to play this time of year. Looking forward to playing again soon!
GREENS JUST AERATED WITH BIG HOLES
2nd time playing this course. Was a bit unlucky and didn't think to call to ask if they had aerated greens. They were in the process of doing so and 3 holes had temporary flags (just for this day). Cannot recommend playing this course for at least 3 or 4 weeks or maybe even until next spring as the greens at the current time just aren't really playable or enjoyable and won't be without significant grow in. Other than the greens the course was well maintained and when the greens are running smooth this can be a fun place to play. Thankfully I booked a $15 hot deal so I didn't feel so bad but they should have put an alert on golfnow or their website in regards the aeration. A $20 to $25 course at most for the rest of this season.
a little gem
The course is a little off the beaten track for the south suburbs, but worth the drive. Not too busy. decent pace off play. The front 9 is quite challenging because of all the trees and the back 9 has less trees, but narrower fairways. Even with all the rain, you can still find your ball i8n the rough.
Well cared for course for a good price
A very well kept course for a decent price. Greens and fairways are in excellent shape. Club house is nice and clean. Drinks are not over priced and the food is good.
my oak springs experience
Great value, good shape nice greens, nice staff. Will go again
Highly Recommended
Played this course for the first time in 3 years and it is still one of the best courses in the Kankakee River area.
Decent deal
Easy course layout. Not too many hazards. Bunkers need to be redone. Greens were decent..just a couple dry spots here and there. Overall had a great time and was well worth it.
Nicely maintained course
Relatively old school track that has a few interesting holes......when approaching this course it looks very "flat/open" and in general is except for greens/tees. Large oak trees will come into play on some approach shots so proper routing is a must. There are some good shot values. 4 or 5 fairly difficult holes and several shortish par 4's. The Par 3 7th hole is a toughie with a 180 yard carry over a pond. Greens were smooth and quick. The back nine par 3's both have very small greens. Some interesting green complexes built up hills that you keep interested on the greens. All in all a fun play....and with a green fee of $30 or under you can't go wrong. Not a 5 star course but it's a nice decent course that I'll try to go back to at least once a year....kind of reminds you of Gleneagles in Lemont without as much elevation change.
Its the country atmosphere that makes this course...with the cows.
Course was in good shape. They are making some improvements with buildings and tee boxes...much needed. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Not as easy as the scorecard looks
The course plays more difficult than it appears by looking at the distance. Some holes need strategic tee shots in order to have clean looks at the green. Conditions were very good for this late in the season.
Overall OK course
Course is in nice condition. Greens were very well maintained. Some of the tee boxes were hard, but maybe that's normal at the end of the summer. Maybe I'm a little down on this course because it seems easy but it gives me a thorough beating every time. I also ran into some people I knew and decided to join here group before my tee time. Because of this they did not honor the golf now price. I thought this was silly since I was a single and this would improve the pace. Speaking of pace, this place needs a Marshall. Had a group in front of us that slowed he whole place down. Another thing, would it hurt to get some different colored flags? All are either red or yellow. At funny angles, how am I to tell where the pin is? Overall though, this is a good wooded course. Would rather be at the Elks up the road though.
This is one of my favorites!
This course has nice fairways, large greens, and tons of character.
Nice course, a good variety of holes.
Enjoyed the course a lot. Each hole presents a unique challenge. Greens were fast, but played true.
