Elwood Golf Links
I play there frequently, and the whole experience is always great.
excellent challenge
nice layout, especially the challenging back nine. Challenging par threes!
Two different courses
The front nine is like any cheap municipal golf course. Back and forth, back and forth and you can't get into trouble on the inside. However, the back nine is a completely different course. It is not the same quality as French Lick, but it is like they plucked it from there and dropped it in Elwood.
Great Shape!
Played this course many times. Course is in great shape, staff is always friendly and tee times are generally available. If you haven't given this place a try you need to.
Elwood
Front nine is basic and not a real challenge but the back nine ate my lunch.
Decent Muni for the price
The front and the back sides are two completely different courses in every way. I personally didn't like that but for the price it was fine.
Old and New
The new back 9 is really fun to play and has several unique holes that will test many clubs in your bag. The front 9’opened in 1924 and presents a different challenge than the back. Overall, the course is an excellent value and a fun track.
Great value play
Front nine plays fairly easy, very open and forgiving. However, lots of OB to the left.
Back nine is links style. Plays fairly long, especially from the tips. More challenging than the front but fun for all skill levels.
