PACE: Went out as a single on a slow Sunday morning. Never had anyone ahead or behind me.
CONDITIONS: Tee, fairways, and rough are all cut to the same grass length... I would call it "light rough." Also, the ground was quite hard. The greens seemed long, but rolled well. The bunkers were not good, and I played them at GUR. Also, playing in early October a lot of the trees were dropping their seeds/nuts and these were found to be embedded within several of the greens.
I will note that they appear to be improving tee boxes (new grass) on several holes.
STAFF: Friendly and helpful.
VALUE: The online Hot Deal rate appears to be the fair price for this course. The regular rates are a bit too high given current conditions, and other local course options.
LAYOUT: Front 9 is a bunch of down-and-back holes. The par 3s are a good change of pace on the front. The back 9 is much more interesting/fun as it has a few holes that bring a creek bed into play (#14 is a fun approach shot). The par 3s on the back are challenging, and I'm glad I had the wind at my back for #17.
Given the quick pace and straightforward layout I was able to play 18 and be back home in time for football on Sunday... WIN! Good course for beginners and high handicaps.
I have played better places before.
Why are there rakes in what could be sand bunkers? There is no sand but there are rakes. A good place for beginners not worrying about losing cheap golf balls. Players with good skills will skip this place.
Better then expected
Fun course! Stay out of trouble and score! Get in trouble and the score rises
Good course anytime.
Challenging par 3's, long par 5's, greens have had a good year without problems.
Would recommend
Very nice tee areas, greens, fairways, nice layout. Friendly staff good concessions will be returning
Pretty straightforward
The course is pretty straightforward not a lot of trouble to get into. Greens were in pretty good shape but the rest of the course needed some work. Would play it again if I can find a hot deal but not for the full Rack rate
Average
some nice holes and average holes to play. Course in good condition, staff very nice,
Holiday
Very over priced. Carts are old and in poor shape. Greens in nice shape. Fairways although watered still have a lot of bare spots.
