Battle Ground Golf Club

This course is in my top 3. The condition on the fairways and greens were top notch. The pace of play to the joking of the Marshall at the 1st tee box was top notch. Definitely one of my favorite courses.

My only issue with the course is that the bunkers are full of rocks and isn't really sand

The greens were a bit beat up honestly, but I've been there before and they have never been that bad. Lots of Un fixed ball marks.

The course was packed when I played. Took us about 4 hours to get 18 on. Not too bad especially with how busy it was.

The fairways, tee boxes, and rough were all in great shape.

Always a great round. Always good conditions. Really good value.

Started playing here when previous course closed. Friend and I are in. our 80's and play 9 holes couple times a week. The staff makes the experience! Friendly and accommodating. The course is challenging but not too difficult.

For me on a scale of 1-10, this course rates a 12.

Really enjoy playing this course! Very challenging but fair. Always in good shape. Will be back often.

Although other area courses get more (perhaps deserved) visibility in rankings and reviews, Battle Ground is my personal favorite course in the West Lafayette area. It's a great course for all handicaps, and provides the right balance of challenge and fun. Enjoy!

Pace: had 2 slower moving 4somes let us play through. We (3some) let 2 singles play through. Big wins for golf courtesy this day!

Conditions: greens had been aerated about a week earlier, but still good. Light rain the day we played, and the course held up great. I bet in prime season this place is great, and look forward to going back and finding out.

Staff: got us checked in and out on the course.

Value: best value I have played in awhile.

Layout: feels like an older layout, and I enjoy that. Elevated greens make run-ups difficult. Well placed bunkers. Good use of hills/swales. I loved the par 5 #11. Great golf hole.

As was stated by the pro: this course drains amazingly well. It rained extremely hard for multiple day and we played the morning after it stopped rain at 3 am. The course was wet in spot but the fairways, rough and greens where very playable. The green are long front to back and good iron and wedge play will make this course scoreable. If you are off best of luck. As stated we played when the track was wet. I couldn’t imagine how difficult the green complexes would be on a dry and hard time of year. I want to know so I plan on returning in august to find out. Go play it if you get the chance. With the openness of the landing areas you can swing away and still have a chance to score well.

My buddy and I visit here often, driving 45 minutes away. It's a very fun course to play. It's not demanding or penal and has a great layout. But your not just flailing away with your driver either, you need to hit some shots as well. It's s great balance that makes it fun when you are on or off your game..

The real quality of any course are the greens. The greens are above average here..they roll pretty true and aren't a deterrent like lower end course greens can be. It's petty well taken care of and manicured. Definitely a couple steps up from your average muni course..
