Quick course
This course played extremely fast. Holes 9, 10, and 11 are all par 3s which made for a quick turn. Very clean and well maintained course for the money.
A hidden gem of a golf course
If you would like a different kind of challenge then try this course. It's not a long venue but it has rolling hills, small greens, the most challenging par 3's you're ever going to play, an enjoyable time for sure. I would like to have seen the greens in a little better condition, but for the money it was terrific.
OK for Money, good condition
Up and Back, side by side fairways, balls whizzing around a bit. ok for money, no water and some sand. Course very open. Good condition fairways and greens.
Great value; fairways and rough could be cut shorter, driving range is not good
I've played this course several times. Usually I ride if I'm with a friend, otherwise I like to walk if I'm by myself. Pretty flat overall except for the western edge of the course which has some steep hills. No water hazards, few sand traps, but most of the fairways have trees on either side. The fairways are usually a little high, and some of the greens can be a little chewed up. Driving range is very narrow and impractical because of the target placement within the rolling hills. Interesting views of the penitentiary. No water coolers; gas carts are a little noisy. Some nice mature trees and scenery overall. Can't beat the value!
Great course layout, poorly maintained fairways
If this course had some time and money put into it, it would be amazing. The fairways aren't fully grown. The ground was rock hard. The rough was actually more playable than the fairways. The greens were fairly maintained, def playable. Would recommend if you can get the round for $15 or less.
Bomber Course
This is a very wide open course. No real interesting holes on this one. Nice to play for the Hot Deal rate. It is wide open so you can bomb away without any fear of losing a ball. The prison in the background is a bit of an eyesore.
Typical city course w/ a few exceptions.
Majority of the course were flat, parallel holes with open fairways. However, a couple holes had a few challenges and were fun to play with elevation changes and sloped fairways. Decent shape, greens were a little slow.
Arresting Course
Very interesting course. Lot's of challenges and birdie opportunities, but you have to be accurate
The course was well kept and fun to play.
This was my first time playing this course. We had a 12 PM tee time and we were early getting there. They let us right on, with no problems. The course has hills were some greens were above the horizon and some below. The course was in great shape and the staff were friendly.
The course was in great shape!
The course was in great shape! Fairways & greens were very well maintained.
Value Course
First time playing at this course, so I didn't have expectations. First impressions on the drive in had me concerned. The road back to the course was in disrepair, and not really signed well. By that I mean I didn't really know where to go to park, eventually I found the way around a buliding(looked like a service road) to where I could park. The course was in pretty fair shape, the teeboxes were not well labeled and not in the best condition. The greens seemed to be maintained although rather slow. The difference between where the fairway met the rough was pretty minimal and at times are hard to distinguish. My biggest complaint was on the #11 hole, which was apparently undergoing some changes. They made it so you had to go across the 8th fairway(right through the middle!) to get to the teebox. The tee was in horrible shape and hard to hit from. It was just a really confusing set-up. Also, forgot that it butts up to the Pendleton Penitentiary and there is a constant noise emitting from there throughout your round.
I played here mainly because it was very inexpensive on a "hot deal." I paid $12.00 and that was probably about what the course was worth. I might play there again if I can get the same price or better, but only for variety.
