I am so sad that Westwood is no longer on Golf Now.com,I'm on disability, and this course is in my hometown, that is the only way I could afford to go.So sad,it's a nice course.
One of my Favorite local courses!
I love playing at this course. Justin has done a great job taking care of the place fairways and greens have definitely improved overtime since he has owned it. Always welcomed with a smiling face here proud to be a member.
Fairway have high grass, U get no roll on the ball when it hit the fairway.
Fun golf course / well managed/ nice fairways and greens/ cordial staff ! We'll be back !
Review of Westwood G C
We enjoyed our golf at Westwood G C. The course as in good condition.
Great course for the value. Greens were slow and small. Narrow fairways on several holes.
Great day of golf
Great course. The fairways were absolutely perfect. Yes, we'll be back ! Thank you for a great day.
Greens were real slow. Course is ok. Staff is very friendly and are really glad you came there to play.
Awesome course for the price! Fun and a challenge. Great course to work on your long irons.
Nice 9-hole course. Not overly challenging from gold tees but could see that increase from the blues or whites. Friendly staff, clean and maintained well.
Great place to spend your morning.
We booked this for 8:20am we got there just before then and they had everything ready to go for us. We was a little bit slower then some of other groups behind us because we was playing a foursome. Everyone was nice and friendly we stopped on hole #4 to let a group play thru by the time they was off the tee box another pair was there. We told them to play thru also just so happened one the guys was a grounds keeper out there. He told us since their was so many twosomes right there together we was welcome to jump to 7 and play 7-9 then go back to 4-6. We was thankful for that since there was already a group waiting behind him and his partner. I know we wasn't playing extremely slow in our group but I don't like people right on my heels all day long makes me feel rushed even when I know I'm not being rushed. I'd recommend this course to any level of player since we had a player from all different levels playing with us and all of us had fun. One thing your going to be doing a lot of is chipping it onto the green since almost every pin is elevated. There isn't many holes you can just roll up onto the greens. This made it a challenge all in itself for me since I have trouble with wedges but was lot fun. Couple other challenges is along the par 5 on left hand side there is very nice houses along the fairway and also there is a cluster of nice houses off to the right of #2 fairway. The houses seemed to be safe enough off the course but its always in back of my mind when teeing off when you see houses close by most the houses appeared to have chicken wire over the windows and some had walls built to reflect balls back towards the course so sure some has been hit before. Another great thing about this course was Miller light was only $1.50 so cheap beer and finding a hot deal on here for $10/person for 18 holes with 2 carts included you for sure can't go wrong! We even saw couple small doe's wondering down the fairway on #7. Look forward to playing there again soon.
Golf Now Site Issue
We originally set out to purchase 18 holes at a reduced rate; however had to settle for purchasing 9 holes due to an error with booking on the site. The course was quiet, and in good condition.
Westwood is a short 9 hole course in Scottsburg, but it can test your abilities. Water comes into play on 1, 4, 5, 6, 7. OB borders a majority of the holes as well. Pace of play is fast, which every golfer likes. Also saw 3 deer running across the fairway on 7, so that was a bonus.
