Paid a good price to play 18+cart at Devou. Weather was perfect. Pace of play was poor. Doesn't matter if you hit a great drive and it lands in the middle of the fairway, it will take off into the deep rough or end up OB due to the slope of the whole course.
Slow play
Came later in the afternoon, pace of play was 30 min per hole. Could have been because of league play. Course was in good shape though
Poor conditions, confusing layout
Late April and course conditions weren't great. Greens were fair, tee box and fairways were poor. Needs more and clearer signs on where holes are at. Layout was confusing at times knowing where to go. Clubhouse is nice.
nice course!
had a very nice time. course is quite challenging with gorgeous views and lots of hills. extremely well maintained greens. cart paths were not ideal . pace was average to slightly slow due to many apparent beginners.. not a course for beginners or neophytes in terms of difficulty. will probably play again. my review is based on the front 9.
love this course
love the course. still early in the season so the fairways had alot of weeds coming up. greens were great as usual. love this course because you have to think about what shot you want to hit. cant just pull out driver on every hole.
Not a fun day
Place was booked solid. No starter/ranger. Slow play. They let a 5 some out . Greens were just airated and NOT rolled. Putting was unpredictable! If I was informed about the greens, I would have played elsewhere.
Didn’t get to play
Showed up 15 minutes before my tee time to a line of 15 carts waiting at the first tee. An hour after I was supposed to tee off I still hadn’t started so I left and went to the driving range
Fun and challenging course
I’ve played Devou several times since moving to NKY and it has become a local favorite. The course will make you think out your shots on several of the more challenging holes, but provides a few opportunities to crush a driver to reach the green on a par 4 on a few others. Greens and fairways are always in the best possible shape. Fantastic view of the Cincinnati skyline on one of the par 4’s. The staff are always friendly and the facilities are very well maintained. All around a great place to spend an afternoon.
