A Tremendous Value in the Quad Cities
Glynns Creek is owned and run by Scott County, and is part of a larger park with campsites and hiking trails. You'll find an incredible value if you venture to the Quad Cities area and play a round at Glynns Creek. The cost to ride 18 holes on a Saturday afternoon is only $40!
The layout of Glynns Creek cuts through woods on the front 9, and is a bit more open on the back 9. The course is long, and played into a strong north wind on the day I played. I strongly recommend playing up a set of tees from where you'd normally play if the wind is blowing.
While the layout has a lot of back and forth, with the majority of holes running mostly north and south, it doesn't seem repetitive. Each hole has it's own character making for a unique experience on all 18 holes.
The green complexes are fairly undulating, and could be difficult if the speed is up. On the day I played, the greens rolled true and weren't overly fast. I found them quite fair. The fairways, tees, and even the rough was also nicely maintained in what has been a very dry summer in Iowa.
Glynns Creek is a terrific find for the value golfer. I'm excited to go back and play it again. I can't recommend it highly enough!
My favorite hole is the short par 4 14th. The slight dogleg left is a semi-blind tee shot, and then a short uphill approach to a perched green. Birdie is a real possibility if you get your drive in play!

Best Value in the Quad City Area!
This course has an amazing layout which provides whatever type of challenge your looking for! Play time stays very steady due to the fact they keep off fairway areas cleaned up! Staff is very friendly! I wish they had a nice sports bar to sit and enjoy games afterwards!
Excellent county course
I've played here a few times while in Davenport on outing, and been very pleased. Layout is quite good, and conditions are very good. Pace of play varies, but generally not too bad. Hope to get another round in on my next trip.
