Excellent Course
For the 1st week of April and playing in 32 degree temps the course is in great shape. The group (from Lawrence) enjoyed it so much that we are going back this weekend and do it all over again.
Love it!
Great local course to play. They have done a lot to improve the course and the club house over the last few years. The course was in really good condition - Tee to Green. I love that this location has driving range, chipping areas and multiple putting greens, as well as a par three course. this allows me to practice all of my game. And the 27 holes of golf provides a great variety.
The new clubhouse and (grill/bar) has a wonderful feel. They've really made a course to fit the times.
Good Course, But Stick to St Andrews
I played in a birthday scramble here and was surprised at how great of shape the course was in. I did not expect one of the most popular courses in the area to be in such great shape. If you are even remotely of a long hitter I suggest playing the tips. Overall it's a nice track and you won't lose many balls because all the holes run alongside one another. This is nice for difficulty, but makes the course a little boring. If you can sneak on to St Andrews I would shoot for that. Make this your second option if you're tied down to playing in OP.
Good Public course
Good city run course with a nice practice area and driving range. In good condition and playable. Pace of play can get up to 4.5-5 hours as the starters like to pair up to 5 people together
Favorite Golf Course in KC
As an Overland Park resident I feel like I am playing Country Club course conditions for a municipal price. This course is always in excellent shape even with the amount of play it gets. Easy to play every shot as it lies as you very rarely if ever get a bad lie. Incredible! Not a tough course but a fun course. Makes you feel good about your game. They do play 5-somes but as an OP resident I want my course to be maximizing their revenues. Especially with the low prices they give patron card members.
