Management has driven this course into the ground
In the early 2000s this was an amazing golf course, certainly one of the best public courses in the state. In recent years however New Management has taken over and the course is nowhere near as good as it used to be. The new Fairways they installed a few years ago are much worse than the old ones and the greens are absolute trash right now. I remember playing there on slick beautifully manicured greens now they are filled with divots and inconsistencies. As a matter of fact the staff now is among the rudest and most unprofessional that I have witnessed on a golf course. Until they get some real Management in there I won't be back anytime soon... it's a shame too because this course used to be a real gem it's very sad.
Fun to play Quail Ridge
Fairways are perfect for winter play. Greens a bit slow but consistent.
This course is a work of Art.
Quail ridge has a great layout. The fairways are fantastic and the greens will challenge you. The natural wild grasses and folage mold the course into a beautiful round of golf.
Immaculate Zoysia Fairways
Quail Ridge is worth the drive, let me share my experience...
1. Friendly staff, they are happy to see you.
2. Well kept driving range, practice bunkers, and putting green.
3. Carts have surprisingly accurate GPS.
4. Well managed start times.
5. BEAUTIFUL ZOYSIA FAIRWAYS
6. Challenging rough, it pays to keep it in the short grass..
Quail Ridge is as challenging as it is beautiful, bring the “A” game or some extra golf balls if you have trouble off the tee.
Excellent Day
It was Hot but it still didn't take anything away from having a great time on the course, it was in good shape and greens were fast. Loved it!!
Great Course
Course is in excellent summer time conditions, quite a challenge!
US Open Rough
Excellent test of golf. If you hit the fairway you have a chance because the rough is unforgiving.Love this course when I'm on my game. I'm 64 and I played from the blue tees. White tees for me next time.
Try it
Course in very good condition, manageable hazards at most holes. This course is fun and gives the player a chance to hit a variety of shots. Carts are updated, quiet and with GPS installed.
Excellent shape! Amazing value!
What a great, fun golf course. It was in such great shape and we really enjoyed it. I would highly recommend!
This course is a mixture for all players
The course, as always, was in primo condition.
Zoysia grass is the best for any course in my opinion.
Greens were, as usually the case, soft enough to hold shots, but also very fast. Don't get caught on the wrong side of the pins here, or it's 3 putt city.
A worthwhile destination for anyone.
Amazing course
Great layout, perfect greens and fairways. Extremely friendly staff! Be ready for a great challenge!
Accuracy over Distance
The Zoysia fairways are in pristine condition, but to find them you might leave the driver in the bag on a lot of holes! The rough and hazard areas along nearly every hole will cost you strokes. Club down and put it in play, can’t beat the lies the Zoysia fairways on this course offers!
Try it, you'll like it!
I lived and played for years in Florida, and can only name a few nicer courses than Quail Ridge. Stay out of the rough, and there are other challenges including water, sand, and trees. Not bad to walk, though the 18th is pretty steep uphill to finish you off with a good workout!
You must try this great course, even if it's a drive!
I've marveled that this place isn't packed on weekends.... great course, great facilities, and great people! Do yourself a favor, and make the drive sometime... you won't be sorry!
[I didn't take pics this trip, but included one from last April]
Nice layout
Great course, challenging layout! You have to play with a game plan/strategy. There are plenty of areas where the native grass on either side of the fairway will eat up your tee shot! I really enjoy this course!
Great course
I love this course. Come up 5-6 times each year from Haysville. Friendly staff, beautiful course, and never too crowded.
