uneventful
I'm not sure what I expected from this course. I haven't played there in several years. this course is not in good shape. Greens are inconsistent. fairways have little to no grass and the rough is basically un-mowed weeds. I won't be going back.
Good for a Muni
Good Muni course tucked away off the main roads. Quiet and fun! The hills and uneven terrain make some shots challenging. All in all a fun course that I will play at again.
Fairways were a little clumpy
Over all a great course.. Nice tee locations
Very nice greens..
Great public course for the money
Western Hills is a great public course that is well maintained and staffed by freindly and knowledgeable people. The course has challenging holes with small greens which were in great shape and would hold the ball even with a mid iron approach shot. One of my favorite courses in the area.
Lots if water and pack a lunch.
Beautiful course nestled next to a crazy hospital. Lots of water hazards so a long drive will help. Clubhouse is a little old and food offerings were microwave sandwiches. Avoid the BBQ place across the street. Overall nice course and had a great time. Will play again and pack a lunch.
Good course for the price
This course was good for the money spent. Greens fees were very reasonable for 18 holes riding. The greens were well kept though balls were easily lost if you don't stay on the fairway. There were some challenging water hazards, one on a par three that does create a bottle neck and slows pace of play down because it's a long walk around the hazard, it was a fun hole to play though. Overall it's a good course for the price.
Nice Place
Course is always in good shape. Greens are well maintained & fairways have very few bad spots. Some challenging tee placements, especially the tight, uphill par 4 on the back 9. My only complaint is the failure of the staff to communicate. There was a couples night scheduled for the back 9 on a Friday afternoon that I played there. My buddy & I would have started on the back had we known the scramble would be have been starting around the time we finished the front 9. You'll also run into groups that like to play in fivesomes and won't offer to let you play through. There seems to be more than the average of these types at Western Hills.
Decent course for the price
I've played this course about 5 times now. First time through Golf Now. Fairways are in decent shape but there are a few rough spots. Greens are better than average.
Western hills
Course was good- fairways a little tall. Greens well maintained and layout overall good. Driving range was a little rough.
Staff was friendly.
Greens roll true
Great golf facility. Course has a fun layout and the greens roll true.
good round
greens had just been aerated the day before so needless to say I wasn't able to work on my putting much on the course itself. very good, reliable course.
challenging
a challenging course that was in goodshape for this time of year
Nice area course
Great place to go play close to base at fort campbell.
Good Round.
We got on the course before anyone was around and had a good time. My only complaint was that the tee markers were no placed and there was no soapy water in the ball washers. The greens and fairways were in great shape.
Good condition
While most courses in this area have not been in great shape Western Hills was in pretty good shape and greens rolled great.
UHG
Course and greens were in good shape, but it's a typical municipal course thru hilly terrain. Little thought as to tee box placement, landing areas, etc, and/or no money to fix it. Front nine was ok, back was bad, particularly #10, #15, and #11 where you tee off from a valley, going uphill around a tree to a slanted landing. Staff and other golfers were friendly.
overall pretty nice
The course is in decent condition as the summer drought has browned the fairways some. Greens are in good shape. Somewhat bland layout on the front but great on the back.
THE HILLS OF KY
I enjoyed the course and the people. It was a fun course to play, with dog legs, water and trees. I will go back and play it again.
Overall great course
Overall a really nice course with great staff. This course can be challenging overall great experience
