Charity Outing Fun

Though it was a outing, I felt the course showcased the challenges the members likely enjoy every week on this fun course. Surprisingly there are several elevation changes and blind shots that make your accuracy a must to score well.

Fantastic Location, Great Staff, Very Good Golf

Although Kenwood is the smallest private golf club inside (or even outside the beltway), Kenwood makes up for it with challenging green complexes, tough surrounds, and occasionally fast greens.

The staff could not be more professional, and the food at the halfway house and in the bar does the trick. A course renovation back in 2013 added two new ponds to the back nine, which increased difficulty both by the addition of a hazard, as well as allowing the superintendent to keep the rough taller and more penal.

Just a mile and a half from the D.C. line, Kenwood is finally able to compete with more established clubs like Columbia and Congressional for new members.
