Hidden Gem!
If you require a golf course with a fancy club house, prime rib dinner, drink carts and driving range with Titleist range balls, go elsewhere. If you like inexpensive golf, a super-friendly staff, laid-back atmosphere, and a classic, old-school challenging golf course then make this your Emergency-Nine stop! Course is hilly, plenty of trees, and large, undulating, well-kept greens.
Great for small 9-hole course
My brother and I drove up from Tennessee to play this course because we saw it was cheap and we wanted to play a new course. I did not realize when booking that the course was only 9 holes that you play through twice, but it was not bad at all. The owner was running the pro shop and was very friendly and hospitable.
This will be my new regular course
All around great course from the tee box to the greens. You can tell the owner take pride in the way this course looks & plays. Will be back every weekend if possible.
WOW!!!!!!!!!
Just moved to this area and was going to join another club in the area. Several folks told me to check out Kentucky Hills. I went and played for the first time and then joined as a member as soon as my round was over. I was not expecting much, figuring out in the country it would be an old cow pasture course, boy was I wrong. The greens are awesome, the fairways are great, the staff was wonderful and the views are worth the price. I look forward to spending a lot of time here!
Here is 9 holes only, so if it is 18 holes, it would be better.
Unhappy management
The owner didn't want to honor my tee time, he said he never gets paid from golf now. I paid for 2 people for 18 holes he let us play nine
Fun fun fun golf
This is as fun as golf on a 9 hole course gets. Greens are five star first rate good as anywhere. Pretty straightforward layout with many big elevation changes to negotiate. No bunkers but water hazards affect three holes-4,7,and 9. Friendly down home owners who do a great job with this course. Love it here!
Hidden gem
Had a great time on this course soft greens and true roller will be back soon. Staff was awesome
Out Of The Way Course
If you don’t mind playing a course with lots of hills, you will enjoy. The greens are above average. The staff was very friendly. If you want to get off the grid, go play this course.
Stumbled onto a keeper
First time here and winter conditions. In the Glasgow/Scottsville area, you are either close to a course or you're going to drive a bit. I chose to drive. In farm country I didn't set high expectations.
Though a 9 hole course, it's got great features. Layout is interesting, challenging, and nuanced. Between doglegs, water, and elevation changes, moving the ball forward requires planning.
Then you arrive at the greens. How such greens came into being takes a very good, caring caretaker. Grass is dormant but the greens rolled true, good pace, and extremely playable. They must be PGA worthy in summer conditions.
Going around twice to get 18 in was, to me, a new challenge... Can I play this hole better the 2nd time around?
Yeah I'll be here again. Call ahead; the locals know how good this is, too, and it could be busy. But be sure to play. You won't regret it.
Winter Condition but Great Fun
Even though the fairways were not plush and the greens were more yellows, my son and I had a great time. It's almost January and we could still play golf at this course.
The owner was very friendly and helpful. There were a few other groups out and they helped direct us to the correct t boxes/ t area.
The 9 holes are not very long, but still challenging. Nice variety of 2nd shots to green.
The greens were more of a yellow, but it didn't effect the putting too much.
We drove 17 hours round trip and look forward to seeing how this course plays in season. Fantastic experience!
