Fun Course
We were trying to get in 9 holes after 5:30 PM - there was no marshall arouind to keep up pace of play. A rude 4-some took 3 hours to play 9. Since we were 2 groups back we couldn't 'ask' them to show some etiquette - and allow play throughs - we jumped 3 holes and only got in 6 holes
Did they pay their water bill?
The course was as hard as a rock. The greens were fine to putt but wouldn’t hold any approach shots even if you landed short and tried to run it on. Frustrating to hit good shots and be penalized.
ok for money
The course is good for beginners or infrequent players. After a few holes, you can easily get frustrated with the pin placements (sitting in little gulleys) and poorly. maintained greens, so you just keep reminding yourself that it's a great a day and you didn't pay too much money for 18 holes.
Sad pace of play
5.5 hours for no real reason. Staff course management should have resolved this, but with the closing of this course after the season, staff involvement is at a minimum. It’s a shame, nice layout and usually in nice shape, but god knows we need more multi family housing that’s unaffordable in today’s economic environment
Extraordinarily hard pan fairways and greens
Extraordinarily hard pan fairways and greens, weird layout which puts you backtracking into oncoming shots from other players
Super Slow Play
This is a decent public course and the layout isn’t bad. The greens are usually decent. My complaint is that the pace of play is always slow and I won’t be returning. I’ve tried this course 3 times as it’s in between myself and some friends but it’s unbearably slow. The first two times we quit early because of pace , the last round we were 4 hours in to get to hole 11.
Today it took 3 hours to play the front 9. It’s clearly a problem here with stacking too many tee times and not keeping anyone moving. I called the pro shop because we were already backed up on hole #3 but it never improved.
Fairways and Greens were rock hard, pin placements extremely unforgiving, pace of play accordingly very , very slow plus course layout somewhat strange
