Front nine has big greens in great shape, back nine has small greens. Staff was great!
Good value
Oakland is reasonably priced considering the options in the local area. At the moment, course is dry as they have not had much rain. The greens are slow compared to their normal speed but that it due to lack of rain and heat. A very good value . Played in 4 hours at a leisurely pace. On a hot day it would have been nice to have seen a beverage cart.
Tough but fair
Very enjoyable round in a beautiful setting. Course is in very good condition. Greens were a little slow but the conditions have been wet . Staff was very accommodating and friendly. The food was outstanding. Looking forward to playing there again soon.
Who Mowed the Fairways
Wanted to play this course after reading some of the reviews. The course has beautiful views. The greens were very slow compared to what my wife and I are used to. Some of the sand traps had more plant life than sand. The big issues is the fairways. You should not have to spend 5 minutes looking for a ball in the fairway. I have played out of rough that was not that deep or thick. You could see they had been mowed but unevenly. They were deep. I grounded my 9 iron and the fairway grass was deeper than the blade. That just makes for a unhappy golf day whether or not you are an accomplished golfer. My handicap is 18 and I usually shoot in the low 90s..
Course was closed unable to play
The course was closed when I arrived and over a month later I still gave received my refund from Golf Now. I do not recommend this app.
Beautiful course and greens are in great shape!
Had fun golfing here for our first time. The greens were in great shape and the course was challenging and fun.
Oakland MD golf
Nice course, not too long for a novice like me.
A bit pricey by my standards but got a decent price on a golf website. Greens were pretty fast but not overly difficult once you got used to them. Somewhat hilly on the front 9, better on the back 9. Course and greens were in good shape even though it was wet the previous day. Good carts and very friendly staff.
