Braintree Municipal Golf Course

Despite the intermittent rain, the course was in good shape. Lots of room on most holes off the tee and greens are large. Greens also are excellently conditioned and putt well.

Some par 4s are lengthy but overall the course is very fair. A good bargain for most golfers.

I have played Braintree many times , this is a challenging course,you need to hit it straight, water is definitely in play.. A low handicappedr player can really enjoy the layout, corse management requiresd...Greens are true, I will be back.

I played Braintree many times in the past,but not in the past couple of years. The course was in good shape, the greens had come back in after being aerated , and as long as you were in the fairways you were ok.But if you missed the short grass, it was wet & tough going for footing. I enjoyed the course, I play two times a week, and had a good time trying to keep it in fairways. Would like to see this course after it dries out

Still a bit soggy from spring rains, especially in the low areas, but the course overall is in good shape. Bring your long game and your accuracy game, there are a lot of very unforgiving holes, especially the long par 5s with water along either side. Fairways are still fairly wide but...don’t hook or slice! Greens in pretty good shape, appear to have been punched fairly recently. Due to length, a challenging Course to score on, especially on a windy day like we had.

A hidden gem just south of metro Boston. Great layout with great conditions. Although fairly flat, there are a few holes with elevation changes and sloping fairways. Water comes into play on many holes, including some 400+ yard par 4s. Weekends can be crowded, but the rangers do a good job at keeping things moving.

Growing up locally I have had the pleasure of playing a number of great courses in and around the Boston area. I stumbled upon Braintree this summer and have gone back now a number of times. The staff is extremely welcoming and the course conditions are wonderful, particularly for a municipal course. I feel Braintree is a hidden gem and deserves a great deal of credit. While the pace of play can be tough, the rangers are in full view and I have seen them enforcing rules regularly. This course is a great challenge for all levels of golfer and it's large greens provide excellent targets for those working on dialing in their approach shots. Price wise, this course is extremely fair and offers a number of in house discounted rates for those seeking a bargain. They recently began using Twitter, which I believe all courses should be using, and have alerted me a few times now of great deals that I took advantage of. If you're in the Boston area and are tired of the cities muni's, drive 15 mins south for an excellent round!
