Kelley Greens Golf Course

We hadn't played here for 3-5 years and were pleasantly surprised with the changes. The welcome laid back reception from Brett (co-owner) was delightful. The location is just off the ocean not visible across the Street because of a high breakwater. The terrain has always been a challenge, but recent landscape work is obvious and effective. The greens though recently aerated were in very good condition and challenging. Not a long course but requires attention to natural hazards i.e., salt marsh, natural growth that will eat the ball and small streams, The course is fun and well cared for including the greens, tee boxes and sand traps.

The co-owner runs the bar and restaurant with a well thought out menu. We had fresh berry salads which were fabulous. The costs of the food and drinks are very reasonable. Have already recommended it and plan on a few return visits. Wish the new owners the best and promise they and their staff will treat you well.

Overall course layout is nice. Most greens need a complete overhaul. Whoever graded them must not have known how to read contours. They are all domed shaped which is very frustrating.

May be due to the fact it was early in the season but the course is either undergoing a lot of maintenance or the winter was harsh as the course was in very poor condition. A lot of construction undergoing at the time, large piles of dirt and sand right in front of the first tee box. Many holes where construction had dug up the fairway completely across for installation/repair of pipe work that took you out of the zone. Hope they fix these issues this year for summer. Not very enjoyable at the moment, but not high priced enough for a round to warrant money back demands. Great course for beginners.

Mostly a par 3 with a few par 4s. Humbling but Lots of fun. Almost like golfing at the cape with out the 3 hours of traffic. Clubhouse food was incredible too

Played this for the first time today, and it will certainly be the last. It rained a few days ago, but you’d think we got 20 inches overnight with the AWFUL condition this course was in. There were puddles on practically every hole. Holes 6,7,8,9 are par 4’s and they have about 20 large puddles scattered throughout the fairway, it makes the holes almost unplayable. Grass is long and clearly doesn’t see much maintenance, there are no cart paths and you have to navigate through giant mud patches while trying to navigate. Greens were in decent condition, that was the only upside. Avoid this course, it’s not worth the time or money.

First time playing this course. Paid for 18 ended up quitting after 9. The fairways were muddy and no path for carts. Better off walking. It rained the night before so I understand the wet condition, the kicker is half of the par 3 greens are small and dome shaped. I don’t mind challenging holes but this is over doing it in my opinion. I will say the check in was seamless and the staff was very professional.

Overall, I would say the course is ok. The course was soggy in the fairways.
