Wampanoag Golf Course

My wife and I recently came upon a 9 hole golf course who some locals never knew existed. Wampanoag CC was an amazing surprise. First the price is fantastic, so good we joined for the season. But better than the price is the hidden Gem with quick greens that play like a championship course to holes with hidden trouble and every hole was different. The course sits on the Palmer River and the river is viewable on most of the holes. The few times we have played it there has been a nice breeze off the river and bay. Its a links style course with tidewater coming in and out so the holes change. i have not played it from the tips but I think it will be a good challenge for any golfer. Now please understand my observations were because i expected much much less. So if you get a chance try this hidden gem on the Palmer River in Swansea, MA

Love GolfNow, but, this should NEVER be allowed to be one of their courses. This is a Cow Pasture. Grass gets cut ONCE a week. Years ago, the greens were great....Please pull this course from your list of courses !!!!

It's an interesting course, Great for practicing, Challenging And not that busy. Don't know until you try it.

Took my best friend golfing for his first time in 10 years! What a day.

Enjoyed playing here however course of play was awfully slow. Will come back

Do not waste your money really reallly poor shape, no fairways at all

Course is seriously run down. Grass needs to be cut badly. Expect to lose a few balls in the middle of the fairway. Some tee box grass is extremely long on par 3's and you can't use a tee. Some fairways kept you guessing if you were on it or in a hazard. Bunkers were mostly hard dirt (with rakes?) The one good one had huge holes in it from turtles laying eggs! (We saw one which was neat). Greens were okay, but a bit slow. Beautiful area that could become a nice course if only they put the time and money into it!

Not a good course more like a backyard shooting range with flags randomly placed.

This is a very good practice course with a nice layout and good greens. The fairways, however, are like a cow pastures and with high grass. I lost a couple of balls that were right down the middle and I also found a bunch of balls in the fairway. The course is also poorly marked. It was my first time playing there and not all the tees are close to the greens, so it was challenging finding my way around.

It was a great value, the pace of play was excellent and the weather was perfect, so if you need a course to test your game, it's a good deal, but bring plenty of old balls.

let's start with this is not a tpc course, it's a nine hole course that does need work. I play here after work on weekdays to practice for the the weekend rounds. the course is never busy so you can play two balls or just drop five from 150 and practice whatever yardage you need to practice. the staff is amazing, not like the d bags at the private cc's that are now semi private so they stay open. i've heard people drive down from maine just for the hot dogs!!!! if you are an a hole, stay away we don't want you here but if your good people i hope to see you there.

Tee boxes were a mess ,poor drainage But still not to bad

Unless you want to have six balls plug on you...don’t play here....it’s a cow pasture with greens....I quit after 13 holes because it was so bad...This course should shut down

Love Rick in the clubhouse. He does it all. Grab it at $18 for 18 with cart on golf now. Awesome value. Greens are superb. Rest of the course isn’t bad. We played there twice in the last 3 days. Had a ball. Not too busy.

Well worth the money. Fairways are playable. Tee boxes need a lot of work. Greens were tremendous. I wouldn’t pay $40 a round, but for $15, great deal. The pro shop gentleman was friendly, and the guys in the lounge were awesome.

Fairways are not great but greens were in very good shape. Interesting set up I enjoyed myself.

If you are looking for country club conditions, this is not the place. I found present conditions very playable and the weekend Golf Now rate was great.
