Off the beaten path
This place is a hidden treasure. The property was well kept. Staff were decent and friendly. First time coming here, I would come back and bring more friends For a Friday the pace was slow, but it didn’t matter If you’re able to just have a nice day of golf, this is the place Was rated as the longest part three east of the Mississippi if that’s true then golf courses are not very big
Second and last time here
Second time playing here. Course conditions were pretty bad even considering the time of year. Decent layout but the greens were just bad. Pace of play was even worse. Took over 4 hours to complete an 18 on a par 3 course
Not bad
It’s good for a par 3 course. Brought my teenager for his 2nd course play ever and it’s good for that type of play.
Great beginner course
Great beginner course , all par 3 and couple par 4 , hard to lose a ball , easy layout
Poor course conditions.
It was my first time playing here. Before we teed off we were made aware that the second hole was aerated and not playable. Then I got to the back 9 and they were aerating another hole so I skipped the hole. When I got to the next two holes they were covered with what looked to be like loam so they were unplayable too. At this point I returned to the club house and requested a rain check because of the course conditions. The staff said he was unaware of what was going on. He said that he would email me a rain check of a future visit. I am still waiting for the email. Also the tee boxes were thick with a lot of crab grass.
Unorganized
I have never had a worse experience at Rockland. The excuse was that they had several leagues in high schools playing that day but I should not have been able to make a tee time. Waited 30 mins after my tee time to tee off and sat for 10 mins at each tee box. I left after 5 holes played and it took almost 2 hours. I’ve played this whole course well under 2 hours before. Starter was driving around not doing anything about it.
Terrible conditions and slowest pace of play.
Tees are not maintained and you’re often hitting off sand & dirt without grass.
Waited on every shot, 4.5hr round for a par 3 course is unbelievable.
Fairways/Greens have dead spots and crab grass all over them. Bunkers have tons of rocks in them.
DO NOT PLAY HERE!
