Tougher conditions
With this years drought the rough was all dormant and hard packed. Was basically hitting out a compacted divot. Fairways are still in good shape and greens are soft. Pace of play could have been better. We teed off 20 minutes late, and the twosome behind us gave up at some point because there was a backup at every hole.

Tee boxes?
Some of the tee boxes were terrible … at least 4 or 5 where In total disrepair. A huge improvement to the course if these were corrected. on the positive- the greens where in very good shape.

Front good condition...
The front 9 was nice. Good layout and decent shape. Greens were a bit "furry" but understand they want to preserve them due to heat wave.
Back 9 was terrible. Very hilly, poor fairway conditions and lots of blind shots. Not in good shape at all.
Play 9 then leave.

Slow going...
The course itself was in good shape...dry for sure, but the greens were lush and actually a little slow. Lots of play, so things were slow with a lot of waiting around...the twosome in front of us often hit two balls...even if their first shot was just fine. You get what you pay for, and for the price it was a good afternoon out.

Course needs work
Do to the recent drought I think that has a lot to do with course conditions.

Sandwich Hollows
The course is tough shape because of the lack of rain. Hopefully it will get better. The back nine is very hilly with lots of blind shots.

Dry and Wet
While Sandwich Hollows was recommended as a value play, the course had really taken a beating due to the summer drought on Cape Cod. Without sufficient water, there was a lot of burned out, hard pan immediately off the fairways. Fairway conditions were just fair, and you really couldn't play the ball down. The greens were lush and purposely left long to save them from the heat. But they were soft and very slow to putt. I actually had an approach wedge embed in the green!
The rolling terrain of Sandwich Hollows made for an interesting play and, at times, tee shots that made you think hard about club selection. Even playing from the white tees, most par 3's posed challenges for the average player in either length (175-205 yds) and/or postage stamp greens. It could be a pretty good course layout save for the fair to poor playing conditions. Might be better to play in the fall.

Rugged Shape
The place was bone dry in most places, and the sprinklers were kept on during the round to the point that there was standing water on a few greens. A fair amount of the tee boxes need a lot of work. There are so many other good values on Cape Cod, it would be hard to go back

Sandwich Hollows Good Value
Played Sandwich Hollows with my son-in-law last minute. We were able to book a morning tee time that day. Course was in good shape. Only ding would be the tee boxes could be a little flatter and less torn up. We did have a twosome on the front nine of us that held us up. And a single on the back that did the same. Not the courses fault, but made for a slower round.

Heroic Work Effort
The course was in good condition for a place desperately in need of a new irrigation system! A lot of hoses/sprinklers necessary, for manual watering, laying on many holes. Kudos to the maintenance crew for keeping in a good shape during this drought/heatwave! Fix your ball marks people!
