Fall Cape golf
My first time playing at Hyannis Golf Club was a great time!! Very cool layout with fantastic conditions. Approach shots need to be spot on as most greens are above the fairway level. 18th hole plays into a old school clubhouse where the grilled hot dogs are amazing!! Highly recommend this course.
Challenging Layout with Elevated Tees and Greens
The course was in great shape for late August. The best and most notable feature of this course was the constant elevation changes from tee to green. Often you would find yourself looking up at the flag while toiling over your approach shot. It's not an easy task by any means and a wayward hit will leave you in the trees scrambling to get it up and down from practically nothing.
One knock on the front-nine is the back-to-back par threes which can slow play down a bit. Fortunately one is fairly long and keeps it interesting, but it's something to remember when you see the groups backing up.
Overall it really is a fun course that's more difficult than easy. Definitely one to play when in the area.
A pleasant surprise on The Cape
Playing this course for the first time was a pleasant surprise and really outdid my expectations. The layout is fantastic, especially for a course that you can tell they had very little land to work with. The course was in fantastic condition from tees to fairways to greens. The only negative were the bunkers which could use a little "de-rocking". Elevation changes and bunkers are the name of the game on this course and also make sure you club yourself correctly because remember you are at sea level. This was a Tpp 100 course played by us and it was really a nice surprise to find that out as it gives Cape Cod another stop on our endless journey of playing golf.
Empty during the week
Got to play the course in less than 3 hours as there was nobody on it during the week. Course was in great condition and was an enjoyable round.
Fairways, greens and tee boxes in great shape very plush.
Course was in excellent condition, having never played there , there were a few blind holes where you had to guess on your second shot in order to keep play moving as the course was full. Will def. play there again.
