Fairways and greens in good shape
Tee boxes need work ; general parallel hole layout contributes too many players hitting wrong fairways with errant shots.
Good value
Course is in good condition. For the money its a good deal.
Great Course for nine holes but VERY slow lately
I enjoy the course, its layout and challenging greens, though the last 4-5 times I've played here it has been frustratingly slow. The fellow I was playing with walked off on the 2nd hole as he could see the backup all the way past the 4th hole. At times, we had to wait for 2 foursomes in order to tee off. A monitor would definitely help with the situation. My guess is that they are losing repeat business when golfers decide to cross this course off their list due to slow play. When I am able to play without waiting, I really enjoy it and find the others who are playing to be quite friendly.
Pretty good course but last two times pace was very slow
Very very slow last two times. Was a five some in front of us so that was part of it but just seemed to be very slow non chalant players in front. Really needed a ranger to make people speed things up. Condition of course was pretty good but pace was very frustrating. I do like the course otherwise.
Uni is a great Muni
Just north of Boston this 9 hole course will test you and has good conditions and a great layout. Staff is great and twilight rates available
Great 9 hole north of Boston
Unicorn is a great place to play golf close to Boston. It is reasonably priced, has twilight rates, and has a layout without water hazards. Dennis, Mike, Matt and Ian make up a great staff who are friendly and helpful. It is also everything you want from the blue tees. 3400 yards at a par if 35
Unicorn
I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews about this course most favoring the negative side. For the time of the year and the weather most courses had to deal with the past few months the course is in pretty decent conditions. Some wet spots that must not dry well, some spots that had snow built up, greens were in pretty decent shape and were actually rolling pretty smooth and quicker than expected. Layout is very friendly and open. A very playable course for all skill levels.
Best Winter Golf Spot
They keep Unicorn going thru the winter. It’s obviously quiet there but the course is a great winter play.
Slow play
The group in front of me took 40+mins to play 1 and 2 and wouldn’t let me play through on 3 so i had to skip it. Bring signs back on evey hole and tell players to keep pace
Great course
it was our first time playing there. The course was well maintained narrow, fairways, and challenging, and a quick play.
Course is well maintained and very forgiving for the novice golfer.
