Excellent Winter Golf- work on the game.
If you want to work on your game when most courses in the area are closed for the season Unicorn is an excellent choice. The 9 hole course has improved conditions over the past few years. The two par 3s can play 180-190ish with the winter wind it will test. Off season a great place, in season there are many other choices in the area so I tend to go elsewhere. High single digit handicap. The pro seems to have revitalized the operation, staff is very friendly. All in all a nice 9 hole close to the city. Not Augusta that’s for sure but still A-ok..
Unicorn in the winter
For December 19 in New England I don’t think we could of had a better day! Course was in great shape greens rolling very quick. We played in under 90 minutes doesn’t get better than that for pace of play.
Needs drainage....
7th hole was almost unplayable. Its been too many years for management to let this go or put a blind g eye to it. From 40 yds in front of the green back to 40yds ahead of the tee box on 7 the grounds are so soaked its embarrassing.
Good bang for buck
Greens were aerated and one fairway was under construction and roped off but the course layout is good with some nice variation to shot types.
Mainstay course
Love playing this course, play a lot on the weekends. The pro shop attendant was a very nice guy who stopped me from buying a glove that was too small for me
