West Michigan Gem
Blythefield Country Club (est 1928) is the site of the annual Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give. The course has also hosted the Western Open, won by Arnold Palmer, and the Western Junior Amateur, won by Rickie Fowler.
Blythefield is a fair test of golf for all levels of players from pros to higher handicap players. The nicely manicured fairways is bounded by penal rough and many strategic trees with good bunkering. The greens are stellar. Fast and true with subtle breaks that leave the best of players scratching their heads.
The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. If you get an invitation to play in an outing, through a charity package or as a guest you will definitely love the experience. Definitely the Gem of West Michigan!
