Continues to go downhill conditioning wise, greens good though
I have been playing this golf course for over 30 years now and it seems they just don’t want to reinvest in the course. The only things that are really good. Here are the greens. Yes they built a new clubhouse 10 years ago and I was nice and the golf carts are OK with the old course itself just does not get reinvested much. The fairways are average at best. Tea boxes are pretty bad and many of the old blue tees sort of the tips as we call him or just abandoned. Several of the sand traps are also filled in and just rough grass now they don’t want the maintenance of the sand traps.
I’m surprise this place has not been sold over the years in some homes put on it, but it does live in a wet zone and does get very wet in the spring time down the low land, the only other good thing I can say is that the price for weekday seniors of $29.18 of the car is pretty fair compared to the older greedy rates. Most courses are charging nowadays.
Whatever golf cart paths, there are a really rough and probably original from 50 some years ago. Actually the course was built in 1967. I used to think it had a lot of character in it still does but it’s sad to see the abandon T-shirt boxes , and just rough overall conditions
Honest Feedback for Front 9
I'm newer to the area so I selected this course based off of the reviews, the reviews for this course we great, so I thought I's give it a shot. I was sadly disappointed with this course. The course was not well maintained, the tee boxes were horrible and not maintained, the fairways were a mix of different grasses/weeds with pan and overgrown trees, and the fringes/greens were in very poor shape and very slow. I think 20 years ago this course may have been worth the rate, but given the conditions it should be much cheaper..
Great staff Great Course
I was able to walk on as a single this day without a tee time, although the course was busy the staff was able to slide me in for 18 holes.
hidden gem
hidden gem just north of Grand Rapids. Cannot beat this place for the value. Challenging course at a great price. They put on fantastic events that are well organized, and the new bar/clubhouse is very well done
