Nice old-school country club

Had a chance to get in nine holes with a member while our kids went nuts at the pool. Great club setup for families and it appears they are redoing the nine holes across the street to be more of a beginner/short course. Great move.

The front nine we played provided a glimpse of classic 1920s, Midwestern golf: fast greens that slope from back to front. Above the hole is three-putt city or worse. The course has really nice roll to the land and the greens are receptive when they're not elevated.

Hope to be back and play a full 18, or better yet, bring my kids when they're older and play the short course.
