Beautiful course
Pine Knob it is always beautifully groomed and in great shape!
It’s the same old PK
If you have played Pine Knob over the past 20 years it’s exactly the same as your memory serves.
It’s a decent course layout. Majority of holes rely on trees, water and doglegs to make up for lack of distance (expect 6200 yards max in any configuration; 27 holes). 3 par 5s are under 430 yards from the tips. Greens do roll bumpy and inconsistent hole to hole. Rough is “thin” in wooded sections; appears an attempt to correct the issue was shovels full of sand. Tee boxes are in good shape for the most part. All blue flags make identifying pin location difficult relative to green depth. They have a grass range, chipping and pitching green and the worse practice putting green I’ve ever used. Carts (petroleum) need to be swapped out, they are showing their age.
Staff is polite. The hot dog I ate was on par with Costco. Beer isn’t overly inflated either.
A hot deal under $35 is worth the adventure. At sticker price I could throw a ball and hit something better in the area.
….. it is Pine Knob. I’m sure during rock concerts years ago it was a party pre-show. Times have changed unfortunately.
If you’re a player expecting a challenge it’s a 7.4 / 10.
Up north feel
Nice course layout, lots of water holes on Falcon course
Aerated greens
A discount should be applied to the bill total for any golfer. This was an incomplete round of golf. There was no warning online or in person that on every hole the golfer would be presented with greens unplayable. It’s the start of the season and GAMS are recorded.
Awesome
Huge variety of holes between the three 9’s. Nice views , greens were very tricky both times I played here. Will definitely keep coming back
Nice course, rude Foreigners.
I found the course to be in good shape. Greens had a good speed to them. Nice challenging layout on this course. Foreigners that come to play there should learn golf etiquette. You 4 Foreign women playing in front of you and refuse to let a single play through
Great shape
Course was dry and in great shape for the first week of the season.
nice early season round.
greens in terrific condition for the time of year. Fast and rolling nicely while receptive.
#1 tee
Always a challange if you play Blue or White Tee's. Number one Tee box still in same location as the fall. Need to move them back.I am 72 and can reach the green with a solid drive.8 and 9 on Eagle are a bit confusing. All though they play about the same yardage one is a par 5 and the other a 4. Also #7white tee on the Hawk Was back at 440. A bit much for recreational golfers.
Perfect March weather
Great day to be on the course, weather wise. The only issue we had was after the turn 2 golfers coming straight from their cars in the parking lot tried to sneak ahead of us on the Eagle. (The golf course was already packed.)
