Little flying gnats.
Love the course, fairways and greens were in excellent condition, but a lot of gnats in your face. Will play again, but I will bring bug spray.
Nice up north course
We go up to Ocqueoc every year try to hit courses in area golfnow got us 18 w/cart for 23 well worth that far ways tight front nine fun course in good shape we love up north course last Scenic views on every hole
Very challenging doglegs
Great little course nestled back in the woods. Front nine has some very challenging doglegs with woods and water to contend with. Back nine little more forgiving. Only downfall with the course which is by no means their fault, the knats that swamn around your head. Even bug spray doesn't detour them.
Hidden Gem
We love this course. Friendly staff and well kept course keeps us coming back.
Blown Away by this course
I played here about 15 years ago and we thought it was ok. The owners changed since then and I would absolutely stop here and play if I was on a golf trip. It's not a super fancy course. The golf carts are a little older. There isn't a paved cart path. But everything on it was immaculate. I forget which hole it is but it backs up to a RV place also owned by the same person so you could stay there and pretty much walk down the road to the clubhouse. Beautiful landscaping and backdrops. No houses around. The gnats are bad after it rains but that is the only thing bad I have to say about this course.
Best Course for the Money
I absolutely love playing this course. The course is groomed and maintained in excellent condition. The course is nicely laid out and the back nine is beautiful. I would highly recommend this course to any golfer.
Nice Little Track
Fun layout less a couple of holes on front 9 (routing requires you to drive carts into teeing zones for next holes). Course is making a remarkable comeback after being neglected a few years back. It's a must play for me when in the area.
Don't expect much
This is a little family owned course. It is very inexpensive to play so don't expect much.
Quaint up North course
I did not dislike or love this course. I would compare it to Twin Birch in Kalkaska, Sauganash in Three Rivers, or possibly Saskatoon south of Grand Rapids.
I will definitely say, the back 9 is a little more scenic and feels more like an up North course than the front 9. The course actually requires some pretty good drives because a few of the holes are pretty tight. I couldn't get a good gauge about how nice the greens are because the front 9 was healing from being aerated. I would honestly say they would probably be subpar even if they weren't healing from aeration marks.
Check out the course if you're in the area if you can get it for $10 on golfnow like we did. FYI, you'll have to drive down a dirt road to get to the course.
nice course
Well kept, nice fairways and greens, excellent priced, only complaint was they allowed a 7 person group out and slowed everyone up
