Bummed out
Me and 2 others (not even any scratch golfers) had a tee time at 1130 on a Friday. The front 9 we waited almost on every shot. The people in front of us luckily didn’t stop at the clubhouse so we did and let them go out and finish the 1st hole. Just to come to someone else already taking the tee box. I’m not one to complain too much, so I went back into the clubhouse and let the lady that was at the bar/register know we did not recognize the 3 some that just decided to plop on in front of us. So the lady went out on the balcony at the turn, mentioned to me “I don’t recognize them at all either” and then proceeded to do nothing but hit her vape and go back into the clubhouse after I asked her about it. (Not to mention me and my 3 some noticed this very same 3 some playing on the back 9 already earlier in the round). Lo and behold, she also just got done letting a 16 some off the front so they started pushing people off the back. This created the longest round of the year for me and I only was playing with a 3 some, kind of ridiculous if you ask me and a terrible, hot, miserable round. Don’t get me wrong, the staff is nice. But they definitely should figure out who is being let out and who is playing an extra 9.
Worst pace of play ever
Won’t be back. Took 5 hours. 2 extremely slow groups of terrible golfers wouldn’t let a single pass.
Great value
This is a very good course for the money. The greens are fast and wavy comparable to a much more expensive course, however on two particular greens there was some excessive little pebbles that made two of my putts bounce. I’m going to assume the new guy on the backpack blower didn’t get those holes, because the others were clean and great. Very nice track for the money, very nice greens for the money, lovely pair of friendly women in the clubhouse.
Great course
Great course very well maintained for the beginning of the season. Would recommend to anyone.
Challenging Layout in Great Condition
I felt like I was up north with the large elevation changes and tree lined fairways. The course was in excellent condition and I got a great deal on Golf Now.
100 year old track carved out of hardwoods and hilly terrain
First time playing course, overall grooming of course was very nice. A little more sand in the bunkers and if they were not so hard would have made the course even better,
All greens rolled very nicely and speed was perfect for amount of slope on greens.
If you are not used to playing hilly courses then you will find this course very challenging, especially if you stray from the fairways. There are several blind shots on course but they do have adequate bells in proper places to alert fellow golfers when you have cleared the area,
Not overly tight but you need to find the fairways to score, most greens are pushed up but they will accept well hit shots.
The folks in club house couldn’t have been friendlier, they also provided helpful hints on how to play this fun, well maintained course,
Overall a very pleasant day.
