Executive Nine at Cascades Golf Course

Showed up early but there was a frost freeze. My Tee time was for 9:30. Frost was predicted to set back TEE times by at least an Hour. There were 3 Foursomes with the majority walking ahead of me. I knew it would be a 4 plus hour round. 2 hours there and 2 hours home. Paid $20 so I chose to bail out. Found a Course on the way back that was closer to home. Can't really review the course itself honestly. All I can say is I paid $20 plus $10 in gas and it was too late to cancel on GOLFNOW.

What a great course. Felt very comfortable on the first tee - like the place has been there forever - and it is coming up on100 years! Not flat at all but rolling up and down terrain! Gorgeous old fashioned parkland style track. Long drive from the city, but totally worth the trip. Now - Just a side note when I read reviews I often see a lot of complaints about pace of play. That is not really what the reviews are for. Bro - If you are golfing on a Saturday or Sunday you are going to run into that - it doesn’t matter what course you are at.

I played this corse on a Monday morning and it was great! Also I’ve heard people complaining about roots from old trees about this course - and there were some but that also is is not important either in my opinion. They never affected any shots - so suggestion drive your cart around the roots my guy! Complaints about tee boxes are not relevant either - that’s what happens when you get everyone hitting from the same spot, and for the record the tee boxes here were fine. So please - talk to me in your reviews about the bones of the track - please! Cascades is a peach!! Fairways are wide and lush - greens are excellent - lots of huge old pine trees but not so many that if you are out of the fairway you haven’t necessarily lost your ball. It’s very playable from the edges even when you spray it off line. Liked the front better than the back 9 where it got a little tighter. Can’t recommend this course enough. One of the best I have played this year.

How many courses have you played that start with b2b par 5s?! Friendly guy in clubhouse. Sneaky-breaking greens. Scorecard says: Par 37 front, Par 37 back, = Par 72 total!?!?

We have lived nearby for years and never checked out this course. Definitely a hidden gem and has quickly become one of our favorite courses to play!

Course was in nice condition. Greens were a little slow, but the overall layout was enjoyable. Great value for the cost.

Love the course. Could use some work covering roots and holes on cart paths.

Excellent condition great pace for sure will be back

Have played this course in the past and the rough was always too tall, lost a lot of balls. Played 5/4/26 and greens were in very good condition, and the rough had been cut to 2-3 inches allowing players to find their errant tee shots.

I truly enjoyed this course. Well maintained greens and fairways, blended with very old trees and nature. I will play there again. Became my one of the favorite course.

97 years old course, well maintained. Big trees and nice green.

Pace of play was way too slow. It took 5 hours for us to finish 18 holes because those in front took way too long. I'm all for beginners learning how to play because I'm still pretty new myself, but learning how to play also includes pace of play.
