Idyl Wyld Municipal Golf Course

Played with my father this morning. Apparently as a senior he could've gotten a round for $25, but booking was only available through GolfNow and they don't seem to answer the phone. Oh well, not that mad about an extra $9.

Pretty short course outside of the two super long par 5s. Keep yourself within 7 yards left or right of the fairway and you won't have too much trouble. Some smaller greens, good speed on them for a public course. Was a bit dry, tons of balls bouncing real high and really running in the fairway. Surprising for a pre-8am tee time. Our pace was good as we had two twosomes in front of us and one behind us, but it definitely looked crowded when we came off the course around 11.

Grounds crew seems to have no regard for the golfers, which is too bad. Regularly had a grass cutter in the middle of our fairway not paying attention. Had a guy working on a par 3 sand trap with no idea whatsoever we're on the tee waiting. These folks have a job to do, you expect to see them with an early morning tee time but you've got to at least take a look now and again.

All told, it's a tad less nice compared to Fox Creek and Whispering Willows but I like it. Would play again.

Nice course. Friendly staff. Only downside (and I'm being nit picky) some holes were hard to find. Needs better sings to the next hole. Other than that, nice course to play. Definitely be back again.

For the money it’s a great course. When it’s busy it’s a little crammed. I like idyle wild tho!!

Course conditions ok but pace of play very slow. Fairways are tight, and with crowded conditions, we felt we were ducking the entire round from players yelling Fore. Interesting layout. Not a long course but provided opportunities to use different clubs. Staff was very friendly. Would not be able to recommend.

This is a great couples course. Fair for men, seniors and ladies.

Play here every year 2 or 3 times even though we live in Lake Orion.

Worth the drive.

A little Busy, but Good to Place to play for beginning golfer.

Average course. Tracks are pretty linear. No real clubhouse, but adjacent restaurant is nice. We walked the course, but carts looked nice. Busy day, but everybody easily stayed on pace.

Great course to play, however pace of play was slow. Need to have a ranger to push slower foursomes as 18 turned into a 4.5 hour round because of one 4 some slowing everyone up.

Like most Golf Courses, they are overbooked and there is a ten minute or more wait at each tee box. I paid for 18 Holes but, only played 9.
