Idyl Wyld Municipal Golf Course

We played here on July 4th, and overall the course was quite nice. The trees were nicely grown the greens and cheese were nice and green soft. However the biggest issues we had there was trying to find our golf ball. If you straight off the fairway even a little bit the grass which was recently cut was all brown and in clumps and in piles well I understand we had a lot of rain recently would have been nice if they would have cut that grass twice to help mulch that grass and make it easier to find a playable ball. Also because it was a holiday the banquet hall associated with the golf course did not provide any food or beer cart. They only had soda and water in their small makeshift clubhouse and limited food. After playing 18 holes it's nice to sit somewhere have a beer and a bite to eat however they could not provide this. The golf carts were clean and in good condition. The staff were average they didn't go out of their way to do anything for you. I would play here again in a heartbeat but we probably bring my own cooler filled with ice in either fill it with my own beer or purchase theirs along with water

First time playing here, LOVED it!!! Greens were outstanding!!! Course was in very good shape, will tell all my golf buddies to play here, Really enjoyed it!!!

Played with my father this morning. Apparently as a senior he could've gotten a round for $25, but booking was only available through GolfNow and they don't seem to answer the phone. Oh well, not that mad about an extra $9.

Pretty short course outside of the two super long par 5s. Keep yourself within 7 yards left or right of the fairway and you won't have too much trouble. Some smaller greens, good speed on them for a public course. Was a bit dry, tons of balls bouncing real high and really running in the fairway. Surprising for a pre-8am tee time. Our pace was good as we had two twosomes in front of us and one behind us, but it definitely looked crowded when we came off the course around 11.

Grounds crew seems to have no regard for the golfers, which is too bad. Regularly had a grass cutter in the middle of our fairway not paying attention. Had a guy working on a par 3 sand trap with no idea whatsoever we're on the tee waiting. These folks have a job to do, you expect to see them with an early morning tee time but you've got to at least take a look now and again.

All told, it's a tad less nice compared to Fox Creek and Whispering Willows but I like it. Would play again.

Nice course. Friendly staff. Only downside (and I'm being nit picky) some holes were hard to find. Needs better sings to the next hole. Other than that, nice course to play. Definitely be back again.

For the money it’s a great course. When it’s busy it’s a little crammed. I like idyle wild tho!!

Course conditions ok but pace of play very slow. Fairways are tight, and with crowded conditions, we felt we were ducking the entire round from players yelling Fore. Interesting layout. Not a long course but provided opportunities to use different clubs. Staff was very friendly. Would not be able to recommend.

This is a great couples course. Fair for men, seniors and ladies.

Play here every year 2 or 3 times even though we live in Lake Orion.

Worth the drive.

A little Busy, but Good to Place to play for beginning golfer.

Average course. Tracks are pretty linear. No real clubhouse, but adjacent restaurant is nice. We walked the course, but carts looked nice. Busy day, but everybody easily stayed on pace.
