Very Nice Greens
Nice variety of holes and as challenging as you want depending on the tees you pick. The ruffs were on the high side.
Slow play
We played the front nine in 1 hr 45 min, but when we got to the back, we hit a roadblock. There was a foursome of older people with a handicapped guy that was slowing things down. Later, they claimed it was the group in front of them slowing things down, but not so true. We complained to the ranger, and after playing the 1st 3 holes in 1 hr, they let us pass. But not without harassing and taunting us. In fact the handicapped ahole hit his drive right between me and my buddy, coming within 10 yards of my friend without yelling fore. This guy was a real peach, and really shouldn't be allowed on a golf course. Kinda ruined an otherwise good outing at a nice course.
Rude in the clubhouse
We had made a hot deal through golf now. When we arrived at the course the guy in the pro shop said because we had a hot deal from golf now, he would have to pair us up with another 2 some. It sounded like the reason for this was he said "he is not making any money on this hot deal and seemed to be a little perturbed because of it. It ended up that we got to golf by ourselves because the other 2 some did not show up. The golf course was not busy and the round went along okay. Why is this golf course signed up with golf now if they get mad when a hot deal is made and penalize you for it? We had no plans to golf with strangers. If the golf course was real busy, I could understand, but it was not. I will probably not golf at this golf course in the future.
Good experience.
My first time booking a best deal. No issues at all, course staff friendly, will be back!
Nice Course
Nice course, but it has a lot of low lying areas that were flooded when we played on a 65 degree day. Fairways were soggy as well which hurt our scores some. The greens were fast and a few were quite challenging. Overall, good course for the later months (June afterwards).
Good course, good conditions and value
I always enjoy golfing here. Friendly staff and course is in good shape from spring to fall.
Hot deal
I would have been disappointed if I paid more than the price of the hot deal. They must be trying to cut corners because the fairways were cut narrow and if you are an average golfer you had a hard time making the short grass on the tee off. The greens were good but the sand traps had grass growing in them. If your ball did not stay in the narrow cut fairways it was difficult to find your ball with the high clover
very nice course
First off I got this for a hot deal ($10) and for this price I was worried the course would be terrible. I can say I was pleasantly surprised to find the course was in great shape, was laid out nice, well taken care of and gave me a challenge. One last thing to add is this; I have never been to a course that had ball washers that did not smell like sewer water, instead they used bleach I believe to keep it clean and it was fantastic to see this attention to the customer.
Great course for the price. Long but forgiving.
Great course for the price. A little longer than the average courses we play but wider fairways on several holes allow for some less than perfect shots. 2 or 3 of the par fours are narrower & require good teeshot placement to stay away from trouble. Good course for the average player!
Worth it!
For this early in the year, its in really nice shape!Last year, middle of summer it was in the Best Shape I've seen it & I play in a league here.Nice lookin Cart girls, cold beer, and True rolling greens.Very worth the price!!!The people workin here are the nicest too!
Perfect Day......but
The course was beautiful and well maintained, the weather was perfect and the manager was very helpful and friendly. The only thing that irked me was the man on the Segway. He rode around us while we played a hole. If he wanted to tell us to speed up or let others play thru he should have waited between the green and the next tee box. He upset my nephew so much he was in tears and didn't want to play anymore. I was able to convince him to continue but I felt rushed for the rest of the course. In fact, I skipped 2 holes just to speed up the play. And for the record we started late because the twosome schedule to tee off before us showed up late and waited for them.
Course is well maintained
I had a great time and the course was very well organized and maintained
nice course
I enjoyed this course, it's a little out of the way but I was impressed with the condition of the course, I didn't see one ball mark on the greens, the back nine was a little more interesting. I will go back to play again.
Great value
This is a great course to play no matter what your handicap is.
The staff is very friendly, the course management keeps the pace of play in order,
The mowing crew is very courteous.
good golf for the money
Course conditions are nice considering our dry weather pattern. Fairways and greens are looking nice the greens are very firm so play according.
Great course
Has several par 3 holes that are challenging and lots of woods that come into play. Well maintained course and greens are in great shape.
This course is a farm track.
If you can get it for $16 on Golfnow, it's worth it. Otherwise, it's pretty rough. The fairways are just rough cut shorter and the greens are shaggy.
Briar Ridge has improved
I've played here several times over the past five years. This year they have really improved the condition of the course.
The greens are in much better condition than ever before (greens are a bit slow)
The tee boxes are way better groomed.
Bunkers are maintained, but they really need to put new sand in them, they have to much small stones.
I would recomend this course.
Nothing Fancy Here
No a bad place. Nothing fancy here, just a simple course with large trees and occasional ponds with either straight out fairways or dog-legs.
Best shape I've seen the course in
I played here a lot growing up and this was my first trip in about 6 years and I am happy to say the course is in great shape. The staff is making a great effort to improve the course. They've added quite a bit of heather on the back 9 that has really improved the aesthetics. It's definitely worth the price to check out what they are doing with the golf course.
