great balance
the course is in really good shape with just enough difficulty. this was a great value for what we paid. looking forward to going out to this course again soon. love the balance of distance and difficulty fo links at crystal lake.
Good course but to slow pace of play
Course was good for 18 holes but the staff try's to pair you up with other golfers which is something that will make me stay away from that course, I like to play with people I know not strangers. The pace of play was horrendous slow groups of 4 the whole duration, plus slow players that can't break a handicap of 100. Won't be going back anytime soon
short chalangeing course
You will get a good score if you stay off the rough
A slow Friday afternoon.
I like the course, short but challenging for me. Play that day was slower than I expected. Maybe because it was Friday afternoon. Will definitely go back, probably early or midweek.
Fun day
Had a blast playing this course. Three of us played 18 at 3PM & was finished by 6:30. Great for a Friday afternoon!!
Beer prices are a bit high ($20 for a 6 pack)
New ownership has done a great job maintaining the course.
Short course, but good value. Beer cart?
Course is under new ownership and they have done a great job. Everything from the club house to the greens have been improved. It is only alittle over 5500 yards from the blues, so you can score well. Course is in great shape and has some challenging holes. Great value when you want get some swings in. Beer cart please.
Great value!!!
Great value and super friendly staff!!! Nice, newer carts and pace of play was great. Course was in good shape. If you're looking for a quick round for a great price this is a good track for it.
Great day to play
If u like a lot of holes with water around it this is the, Course for you. A good Distance between the First nine and the Back nine I would recommend riding
Very clean and well maintained!
This was the first te I golfed this course. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and also thie very nice staff! I found it was very much worth the price and would golf here again in a heartbeat!
Good course
Great experience first time and always a good back up course when none better are available for cheaper.
Links at Crystal Lake
Congratulations to the new owner!
Major improvements, to the course and staff was very friendly. Course was in good condition compared to past rounds that I have played here.
Only suggestion is that it would have been nice to see a beverage cart once during a 4 hr round of golf on a 80 degree day.
Hidden Local Gem
Figured I would try this course, nestled in Pontiac (not the best town in MI), but the course was like a hidden gem.. (1st time there)
They have changed ownership (city sold it) and name and it was in great shape. Pace of play can slow down on the front-9 around 7th and 8th hole, but it was still a great experience. Pretty open and winding throughout a housing/condo complex.
Staff was generous, friendly, and flexible!
Although I had to get a rain check for the back 9 for Father's Day dinner, I will definitely return and I look forward to my 2nd visit!
no Ranger
My tee time was 1:03 I arrived 20 minutes early and had to wait for everyone else to check in with a earlier tee time. ( yes I was ask to step out of line for this). Next I had to wait another ten minutes for a cart. Once I made the turn we had to wait another fifteen minutes to tee off. There was no ranger in sight. At this point we jump a head to the 14 tee and finished the last gout hours.
Good location, good price
You must play from the blues but the course is a good course and is fairly easy. Easily the best course for the price in the area. You will shot better than your average score
Dead Greens
I would not recommend playing here. Half of the greens had huge dead spots on them that made putting impossible. At that point, you're just guessing where to hit the ball. We also had a fivesome ahead of us... I don't know what kind of course allows fivesomes, but it took forever and was not enjoyable.
Very nice improvements
1st time playing here this year and really like the improvements from the clubhouse and the carts. Great atmosphere as well.
play like a champ
Great place to play .When your a high score player. Greens are just write. Far ways are nice to.
