Mismanaged and in bad shape
Bunkers aren’t edged and have weeds all over the edges, no sand in the bunkers to top it off, almost broke my wrist playing out of a bunker so took free relief the remainder of the day!
Majority of the rough is weeds, can hardly tell the difference between rough and fairways/tee boxes, greens were slow and shaggy, every tree had knees high grass surrounding them, all on course Amenities are outdated!
Staff are grumpy and rude, very dictating especially for a small muni course that isn’t good at all especially for $60!!
We played on Father’s Day, had six of us and had back to back tee times, understand that it’s going to be a little busy but the course defiantly over booked, by the time we got to 3 tee it had already been an hour and 15 minutes, so as someone who is familiar with the industry I told my family let’s just group up and play as a six some, we were already waiting 10-15 minutes on tee boxes and even in fairways waiting to hit our second shot, us grouping up would have done nothing but made things easier for the group ahead of us and behind us, but then we were approached by a dictating rude employee, telling us we can’t play as a 6 some when I know for a fact it would have only
Made things a tad bit better, let alone he then insists on telling us we need to expect a 6 hour round, for $60 that’s a load of crap, and being we paid $60 and knew they wouldn’t give us our money back we stayed and got a our moneys worth, ended being up on the course for almost 6 hours and 40 minutes!! This place sucks and will never be going back, typically I don’t play course like this but wanted to get out and enjoy the day with my family that aren’t so much into golf and well enjoyed each others company and that’s about it!
Great first time for a late fall round
This course is great, I started playing golf this year and have quickly fallen in love with the sport. Something I really enjoy so far is going anywhere I can to play and donate balls. Highlands has a great mix of holes and really fun to play. Play this course, book on golfnow for the best prices and easiest app to do so with. PLAY THERE ASAP
Leaves are falling
Very nice course but they need to do a better job of removing/ blowing the leaves off of the fairways and especially on the greens— very disappointed
Basic course layout but well maintained and worth fees
Greens are impeccable
Fairways are average
Layout is basic
Blue course has more challenging layout
Worth the cost of admission
Very nice
Thoroughly enjoyed this course.
Nicely laid out with some tight holes and some others with forgivenes.
Was in nice shape and the greens looked good.
I'll be back again and hopefully the three dickheads that we allowed to play through learn a little golf educate.
Grwat Value
Practice facility was packed and for some reason they restrict chipping to 1 small crappy green where some local hillbilly was chipping an entire range bucket. Actual course was good pace of play and nice condition. Play Gold to Red only, across the road 9 is short and not worth money. Gold to Red courses are great value for the money. Good greens, seems open but hole layout and angles require accurate shots from tee to green, fairways werent cut tight, a bit long so lose roll distance. Would reccomend to others.
Overbooked and no organization
The course: average condition. Its alright. Nobody fixes their ball marks on greens though, but fairways and rough were in pretty good condition. Course is pretty decent, some challenging holes.
The problem is the entire downriver is on this course at once. Overbooked, the starter just lets twos off, didn't pair people up. Saw a fivesome on one hole, luckily behind us. Overall, we quit after 17 holes because we would've been at close to 5 hours by end, and we were running out of time for patience. Nobody managing the pace of play.
Home course
Haven't played Riverview in years , even though it is ten minutes from my house. The gold and red course fairways and greens were excellent, way better than I have seen in the past. Only reason I didn't give a 5 star was bunkers seemed very dried out and thin on sand. Rating really should be 4 1/2.
Practice area
Wish it were closer. I could get in some great practice here. The course was in awesome shape.
Great time out!
Course was so fun to play. The conditions were great snd perfectly maintained. Would definitely go back when we have a chance.
