Aeration and sanding, but was still fun.
The only reason we downgraded the course condition is because it was just aerated and greens sanded. We knew that was the case but we didn't mind. Normally, the course is in excellent condition. Very friendly staff, and because of the aeration and sanding, not many players, so we took our time. Beautiful weather and superb price thru Hot Deals on GolfNow. Thanks to all!

Minuscule Greens
Top notch greens, good luck hitting or holding them. Be prepared to execute precision shots to manage this course.

Course was in rough shape. The holes were definitely challenging.

Quality course at good price
Clearbrook presented many challenges, but very playable. Two of the fairways have a tree lined barrier to the Interstate, but a little noisy; otherwise very nice layout and conditions. Played it once before, will probably play it again. There is also a premium Arnold Palmer course in the area. GolfNow does a great job.

Course was a nice layout, conditions were average. Some bunkers had not been raked and fairways had thin spots..

Two or three holes are humorous, don't take them too
seriously.
Tees on two or three holes need attention.
Food is very very good.

Over booked
My experience began by being hurried from the range to wait 10 minutes on 1 tee. It was nearly an hour through #4. Front side was well over 2 hours. 3 groups stood at #5 with another searching for balls in trees left of fairway.
Apparently the slowest players didn't make the turn, but still slow play on the back followed. Multiple players in group ahead hit 2 off par 4 and 5 tees, while we sought shade from the humid day.
Greens were receptive, yet rolled true and were well manicured. Several greenside bunkers were more like gardens then sand.

Good little course.
Good little course. Fairways and tee boxes a little shaggy and even some weeds. Greens nice and soft, not too fast. Water on several holes and some blind shots. A little more attention to course grass/weed maintenance is required but overall acceptable.

This course needs some tender loving care
This course has a great layout overall, with a few funky holes that need some rework badly. It is a very bad course for women, as the red tees are too long and seem like an after thought. They leave many awkward distances on second shots and difficult forced carries for women. The woman I golfed with hits her tee shots about 140 to 180 yards. She was constantly facing 100 yard plus forced carries.
The course is very shaggy and poorly manicured. The fairway grass was long and uneven. The greens were undulating and interesting. The bottom line is the layout is good, challenging, and interesting but poorly maintained. It seems they may be short of available funds. I would not play this course again, as there are too many other better options nearby.

A walkable and challenging course
Clearbrook Golf Club is a good and walkable golf course that has improved its fairways, greens, and tee boxes during the last few years. The front nine is a little more open than the back nine, but the brook that runs through the property comes into play more frequently on the front nine which creates a reoccurring challenge. The staff at Clearbrook are very customer service oriented and it's "clear" (pun intended) that they want players to have a positive experience. Our foursome enjoyed the quality of the course and plans to return.
Good value
The course was in pretty good shape. The staff was very friendly. The sandwich was delicious. There were a couple of spots under repair otherwise I would have given 5 stars. The course is fun and challenging. I will play here a few more times this year.
This course has a great clubhouse and patio
We were visiting Saugatuck and read some reviews on this course and decided to play. Great service , staff and wonderful practice facilities, and clubhouse.
Course was challenging with a few blind shots due to the up and down nature with very good greens.
Well done will play again!
Great course for the value
Course was in great shape! Play a little slow probably because of holiday. Paired up with a nice couple from
Chicago area, we had a great time only wish are scores reflected it.
Clearbrook has rebounded
Pace of play is good...new super has made some changes that positively effect the the course.,,,still have some improvements to make but the momentum is positive. Small greens are a challenge.
The bar/restaurant is more than solid, would recommend staying for dinner if you play in the afternoon. Excellent setting, friendly staff, awesome service. My favorite golf course bar.
Tough 2 starting holes
Always enjoy playing at this course (close to home and has a nice variety of hole layouts).
Course was a little soggy due to heavy rains the night before, but dried out quickly.
Enjoyed the round and the day even though we had to keep letting singles and twosomes play through.
Old, quirky course
I played this when I was a kid and it was a private country club. Small, but good greens. It's okay, nothing spectacular. The Ravines down the road is way better. Great value on golfnow.
Lots of elevation changes... fun course to play.
The course was in great shape and we had a wonderful, sunny morning to play. Thanks to Golf Now... we also had a super rate.
It's a very interesting course, challenging... but not unreasonable.
