Still hasn't improved with the poor improvements
The newly improved cart paths are deteriorating already. There are pot holes in the gravel. This should have been asphalt to begin with. The sand bunkers are still hard packed and not fluffy sand. The pace of play is HORRIBLE. The course packs people on at every ten minutes and we end up waiting 5 mins on each hole to hit. It's not worth the $30/person to play here. There are some days the staff is nice then other days they are nasty (there's one guy who works there who is not very nice.)
Great Value
Walked an early 9. Nice little track at a great value.
Best Deal Around
Walk 9 for $16 and it's immaculately maintained. What more could you ask for?
Best Municipal Course I Have Played
Played this morning and course conditions were great! Pace of play got a little backed up around hole 6 due to having some slower groups ahead but still moved well overall. There is an actual difference in the tees in this course so you actually feel like you are playing for your skill level whether it’s the whites, reds, or the tips! Definitely a top 10 in value and experience for a Michigan course (especially for something under $100)
Excellent Value and Challenge
This course was excellent, green are in great shape and bunkers are being maintained. Cart path renovation still has a way to go, but recent cut back of over growth and maintenance of fairways makes it a better course. Good course to walk. Greens fees are relatively low and provide good value.
Slow Play
It took us about one hour and twenty minutes to play five holes. We go stuck behind a senior playing from the blue tees (Don't know why) and two children. Originally we had a another twosome with us but they decided not to play due to who knows. I had a single join us late.
I don't mind kids playing but the senior golfer was more interested in his score than teaching the kids to pace of play. We had three groups on fifth hole a par three. Then when we came in and asked for raincheck the started said why didn't we call the clubhouse. They had a range who was roaming course but he was useless.

Love the location, price & staff always friendly.Just wished they would sell snacks, hot dogs etc
Slow Play
It took and hour and 20 minutes to play five holes. I was stuck behind a senior and two children. The senior was more interested in his score than teaching the children how to play., They hit multiple balls. He walked and made them walk too. I’m okay with children playing as long as they learn the right way. We were originally to have another couple who was to join us but declined to play back nine. I should have know then and there it would be slow. We had three groups on hole number five. I’m going to request a refund.
