Pleasent surprise
Last time I played this course was before it closed after the flooding. I was surprised the great condition it was in, Good experience
When i thought they were on the rise…
Always the worst conditions but was surprised for once they were actually decent.. great experience for once until the staff ruined it.. kicked us off at 8:15pm with an hour of light left.. this event tipped the cup never going back
First time playing since regrassing of course and reopening!
If you have played here many times in the past and know the course has not always been in the best shape and that it closed for a couple of years after some flooding.
That being said the course has made some significant improvements. The greens were all new bent grass with no more poa anna grass and putted very true. The fairways are improved over previous years but are still a bit rough around lowest point of the course but they do have living grass on them and are vastly improved over pre flood conditions.
Another improvement is the fact that many large oak trees were removed after dying during the flood. This is good because it will improve turn conditions allowing the sun to hit and help grow grass. The tee boxes were also reseeded and have nicer grass than they previously had but some could have been leveled out a bit more and not sure why that was not done at the same time as the seeding.
They demolished the old clubhouse and have a temporary double wide as the clubhouse in the parking lot so amenities are not there but to me that is not a big deal.
All in all I thought the course was a good value and in much better shape than it used to be and will definitely play again probably on a Tuesday when you can walk for $22 a round!
