Challenging
Bring extra balls. Combination of the course was dry (local conditions) and the hills equaled a lot of missing balls. Appreciated the challenge of the sand traps, yet still fun enough to play.
YUCK!
CHoppy, dead grass, rough fairways. All around rough shape!. Once was a great course I assume, now just a barely maintained shell of what once was. TOO MANY TREES!.
It was OK
Great value for what we paid, but some drawbacks:
I wouldn't make another 6:36 A.M. tee time if I knew we were going to be surrounded by lawnmowers almost the entire round.
(I can understand the lawnmowers, but we were sent out on the 10th hole, which lead me to believe we would have missed them)
No coffee was available for sale.
There wasn't one creek that actually had water in it.
We got lost two or three times due to lack of signage.
Half the greens had moderate to significant burned areas.
On the plus side, we only paid $29 for the round with cart!
Needs maintenance
Good layout. Has tremendous potential to be a great course. Lacking maintenance all around. Golf carts lack GPS.
Decent Starter Course
The course is in extremely rough shape and inconsistent. Some areas are pretty good, other are terrible. The greens were lacking grass (In August?) and were in rough shape. It is a course that seems to have been written off, but a good cheap course to waste an afternoon.
Greens were in rough shape and over priced.
The green is not well maintain, It is beat up and because of that reason I think it is over priced. It does not worth the money they charge. I like the placement of the holes, some of them were challenging.
Good Value. Moderately challenging!
Overall for the price it is a course worth playing but there are greens and tee boxes that require attention, especially on the back nine. The driving range was closed for maintenance. Followed a foursome that was clueless to groups behind them which slowed the round way down and no ranger on the course. Also no beverage cart on the course the whole round. If you are looking for a reasonably priced round it is a nice course but if you are looking for a higher end course this is not for you.
The Course Is What It Is
Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed. The course is good for people who value their money more than interesting golf or well maintained fairways and greens.
The staff is super friendly.
super fun to play!
course in beautiful shape and I loved the little extra of giving the low score in the group a drink and hot dog!
Beautiful course but poor signage.
My major complaint is the lack of signage directing golfers to the next hole. We had to cross a public road several times and there was zero signage indicating that was where the next hole was. I don`t know why courses assume every golfer knows where the next hole is.
The course is challenging. Needs attention to maintenance. Greens were in rough shape. Overall seems like it needs a littler more attention.
The course is ok but seems like it is past it's prime. Needs some TLC and a few uprades and greens need attention. overall, the course is fine but nothing to brag about.
Good times, great price!
The price was unbeatable. The course was fun and in decent shape. Cart paths need some work, but staff was extremely friendly. Altogether a great deal!
Great round for a great price!
If you can get a round through golfnow this place is hard to beat! Awesome staff and a well maintained course that is challenging!
Was in good shape
Some wet areas but it was in good shape. Greens were good too.
Nice course
I play this course all the time, challenging tee and approach shots. Lots of tree lined fairways. Best value in the twin cities.
Solid value course
The staff of the course is friendly and helpful. I like the beverage and hot dog stand when you make the turn. I think the promotions they have are interesting. The course cart paths need a bit of work, some type of aggregates put down to avoid mud when it is wet. I would also recommend that novice players be encouraged to play the forward tees. A good value, a bit out of the way to get to.
Wet
The course was super wet. A few of the greens were in questionable shape. It was my first time playing the course and I was happy overall.
Good layout. Kind of wet
Overall a good course. The back 9 was a bit more challenging than the front but was fun. Course is wet from all of the rain so maybe wait until a dry spell before you play it. Good value though and would go back again and play it and Loggers trail again the same day.
