White Eagle Golf Club

About
Nestled within the North Woods, White Eagle Golf Club is surrounded by woodlands and wetlands that are home to an abundance of native wildlife. Carved from the hillsides surrounded the St. Croix River Valley, the scenic course is enveloped in a secluded tranquility that is the ideal setting for a relaxing round. The layout utilizes the features of the rolling terrain, creating a test that is challenging but fair. Mature trees frame the course as it winds across the landscape's natural slopes and elevations. Golfers should expect a few tricky uneven lies as well as some hard-to-read greens. There are also a few strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides as well as a few water hazards. Water most memorably comes into play on the finishing hole, where a waterfall provides the perfect aiming point.

Reviews
I like it but...
I've heard great things about this course and if you're into target golf, then you'll enjoy it but when I went, they had some greens that were aerated which surprised me. Especially on the 1st hole. Overall, it's a great course. The greens roll true (even if you struggle to read them.) I would definitely play here again knowing what I know now.
White Eagle 🦅 Rocks
White Eagle was a fabulous experience for my group and I. I brought two dusters who had never played the course before and they absolutely loved it as did I! ❤️⛳️🇺🇸
Fantastic Course, Great Value
Excellent course for playability and price. Long Par 5's with some challenging holes dispersed throughout. Feels like it was designed to be a golf course, not to fit an existing home development plan. 1st Hole is one of my favorites - need to be dialed in. Would easily recommend and think it's thes best value in Washington County by far - perhaps even MN/WI border and TC metro area.
Not for faint of heart
Great track, fair but tough for higher handicappers. A lot of difficult holes but well done and a blast to play!!
Played tournament through Golf Channel Am tour
Interesting and difficult course, but a must play. I shot 76 and the difficult holes got me. Truthfully fun to play and difficult. I drove the ball well.
Beautiful course
One of the best golf courses in the Twin City metro area. Well worth the drive. Beautifully designed course in great condition.
Great challenge and great condition
The course was in great shape especially for this time of year. The course is always challenging but a joy to play.
Must play this one
Very nice course. Well manicured, nice layout, beautiful views some difficulty. No leaves to deal with in the fall since there are quite a few pines near the fairways.
The fairways and greens were in great shape for late in the season. GPS in the cart is a nice touch too.
We got a nice deal on golfnow so we decided to try this course. Would not play it at the regular rate since golfnow has so many great deals elsewhere.
Top notch golf course, love the layout and friendly staff, one of my favorites.
Course greens had just been aerated, still love the course and the way it challenges you, will return in the future, also love the elevation drops.
Great course
Has a good mix of shot making holes and let it fly holes. This course is always in great shape.
September Glory
The beautiful weather framed the very good experience and the condition and setting of the course - made it almost a perfect golf outing. The greens were fast but yet held some moisture for a good landing surface. Some of the bunker had such soft sand. I am looking forward to heading out again next week - this time with a California friend, who needs a good taste of Midwest golf - and White Eagle will be one of the selected courses. Thank you
Great Views
Course was in great shape. Scenery and views are second to none. Deer on the 3rd tee box looked tame from a year around golfers. Great Day of golf
Top 10 in Twin Cities Area
Very scenic layout -- generous fairways, fast greens, fantastic "up north" feel, some great risk/reward holes. Last time we played, we had ~7 holes of light but steady rain before being chased into the club house by lightning as we cap up the 9th hole. A group of past & present NHL'ers and former Olympians had the course reserved at 1 o'clock jeopardizing our chances of getting in our final 9 before their event. However they ended up with a few cancellations so they and course management told us we could jump in a ~5 hole gap in their event and play the entire 18. We sat and enjoyed a couple Spotted Cows (WI beer), talked to the bar lady about pirates, and went out and played 18 holes rain free.
Excellent course + entire staff very friendly (pro shop, bar, cart girls, even grounds crew). As a guy who only plays public courses; I'd give WE ~9.9 out of 10, and their staff ~11 out of 10. Bang for the buck, easily one of my favorite places to play!!!
four!!
The course was great and the surroundings were second to none.
I booked threw golfnow.com for 59$$ included cart and range token ...what a great day!!!#
Troy Burne Wanna Be
I played last Saturday. This is a nice course in the Twin Cities area but hardly worth $75. For that price or just a little more you can play Stone Ridge or Troy Burne and get a much better experience.
The greens had just been aerated and yet the manager made no mention of this at the check in. I would have opted to drive up the road and play Bristol Ridge for a similar experience and less money.
White Eagle should take notice that golfers/customers aren't going to play resort rates for a public course.
love the layout
best course we play this year....
everything is A plus... from cart to big screen GPS to driving range.. to green to fairway.......
This course has a great layout.
Great staff, we arrived early for our tea time and they aloud us to start early, The course was a blast to play
Great Shape
The course was in great condition. It is fun to play.
Club selection
Beautiful 18 holes. Impossible to pick a favorite. If you want to test your skill with club selection, this is the coarse. A long driver(250+) will loose many balls.
Birthday Gift
I gave myself a birthday present by taking the day off and driving to Hudson to play White Eagle. Absolutely worth it. Beautiful day, beautiful course, and the service was top notch.
