This course has imroved greatly.
If you haven't played this course in the past 2 years, do so. You will be surprised. Extremely enjoyable. Very good condition.
Reseeding fairways - so no fairways
Course has excellent location and the layout is pretty good. Good walking course. They’re redoing their fairways so there’s basically no fairways. Hairy grass that stops your ball when it hits. Greens are actually pretty good. Once they get the fairways in shape I’d try it again. Great location for quick and cheap 9 holes. Creepy old groundskeeper riding around yelling at players for being in fairways. No one said anything at check in. Only signs we saw said the cart path only rule had expired the day before. Whatever the guy is just real surly. Club house under construction. Just hard to believe they’re charging full price right now.
Decent course
The course was recently reseeded so the fairways hopefully will be better soon. The pace was slow because we were behind the entire girls golf team.
Sweet little course in the middle of Chesterfield.
First time playing this course. The staff was very friendly. The pace was fantastic. Lots of bling shots. The fairways were being worked on, and so condition wasn’t all that great. The greens were so so. However, we aren’t too picky and the pace of play was fantastic. The location cannot be beat. Would totally play this course again, especially when the fairways are up to snuff.
Not worth it at all
Course was way over booked, took 20 minutes to play each of the first 4 holes which was all I did. They upped their prices and the course has only gotten in worse shape when I played it for $8 less Last time at the same time of day. If this is your first time golfing or just learning the game, go for it, but there are much nicer courses in the area for cheaper
GolfNow Sucks
We arrived at the course affordable our 3:32 tee time scheduled through Golf Now only to find out we had to wait 45 minutes because they had high school girls taking our tee time. I’m not sure who was to blame but it cost me $10 to schedule this and it was not accepted. We had nothing else to do other than wait. And then we had a 3 hr 9 hole round. Overall a very bad experience-not sure I’ll use Golf Now again!!!
Wait until next summer
Staff was really friendly and that’s about all I can say. They are really trying to get the course back to playable conditions but it’s just not there yet. One hole was closed today due to them reseeding. We were told to come back around and play it later but it was the last hole. Didn’t make much sense. Either way, it’s terribly overpriced. While they are getting it back into playable condition, they really should only be charging 15 a person. But 30 a person is just too much. Tee boxes were average. Fairways needed some work. Biggest complaint was the greens. Fairway length doesn’t really make for good putting.
A diamond in the rough
First time playing this short, hilly course with small greens since it went public in November, 2019. Several blind shots with ample fairways. The fairways are in the process of being converted to zoysia, so they're pretty bare right now. The composition of the greens is an odd mixture of grasses. I'm guessing that they're also in transition.
With some investment, this could be a real gem in a couple of years when the zoysia takes hold and the greens stabilize.
Great value
Close to home and ever improving. My go to course here in Chesterfield. They have been slowly improving the course for some time and it shows. It plays a little short it is still fun. Will play again next week.
Great value and ever improving conditions
I play here a lot when it was a private club. Now that it is open to the public I've played twice and they continue to make course improvements. Very impressed on how they've been able to keep the fairways up this summer. Looking forward to returning.
Needs some work
Not a bad course but needs some money put into it. It’s a short course so not much you can do with the layout but it is fun. Good practice round for iron shots and putting. Greens are on the small size which is makes for good practice.. I would recommend this course cut 26 for 9 holes is a little steep when I can play municipal courses that are longer and I’m better shape for cheaper. With that being said, still had fun and would play again.
You get what you pay for
This is an executive course. Pretty narrow holes with OB trees and houses on some holes. A lot of the tee shots were blind which led to quite a few lost balls even with good shots off the tee. I found a lot of balls in the rough so I'm not the only one. The fairways were not good, but to the course's credit they did just treat them that day. Greens were surprisingly good. Course management is key which is hard if you're playing for the first time. Staff is friendly.
