Man this place is just solid. For the amount of play it gets the greens are always good. Tee to green stacks up with the conditions found at some of the premium courses in the area. One note. If it has rained recently, the course does not drain well. That’s all the knock I have. Honestly for the price and ability to easily walk there is just not a better value in the area.
It takes quite a bit for me to leave a less than positive review, but the staff at the course, two older ladies, were so incredibly rude and off putting. It was Easter, and that would definitely suck to have to work that day, so maybe that's why. Other than that, this is such a beautiful course, one of our new favorites. Will be back on a different day!
This course is great for walking
Good walking course with great staff and playable at all levels of golf
Nice course for the fee
This is a great course, I have played far worse courses for the greens fee. I will return to this course in the future.
Ballwin’s best value in STL
I can’t say enough about how great the Ballwin Golf Course is. It starts & stops with the club staff. Cheryl always takes care of both my Thursday group & myself. She genuinely cares about us and makes it super easy.
The course is always in great shape. Tee boxes, fairways & greens are well kept. Best municipal course in STL area.
For the value, it’s like stealing money. Course is just challenging enough to keep you engaged. Enhancements to the clubhouse, practice nets and on course clocks with proper pace of play are greatly appreciated.

Super slow play
No Marshall monitoring slow play and people driving on course with cart path only signs. Second time leaving before 9 holes complete.
In great Shape
Well kept public course, especially for a hot dry summer. Rough is thick, fairways green, and greens in great shape.
Over charge
Ballwin doesn’t charge you what it shows on golf now. The golf now price is for walkers, so what was a $20 round was really $30… false advertising. Fun course, but that’s not how golf now works.
Unwelcoming lady at the front desk
I heard nothing but good things coming into my round today but I was treated with a grumpy and rude lady at the pro shop who belittled me and made it seem like it was a burden for my friend and I to play. She also forced us to start our round early making the course jammed up with lots of golfers waiting in between shots. Overall, the course and its amenities were great but the old lady working at the pro shop reflected the course very poorly.
Awesome layout
Well maintained course with an awesome layout. Really enjoyed playing here and will be back for sure.
