Heritage Glen Golf Club

About
Heritage Glen Golf Club in Paw Paw is definitely a contender for most scenic golf course in Michigan. The rolling hills and valleys of the state's "wine country" provide the setting for the course. The layout has an interesting mix of holes with some that have a Scottish-links style while others are so lined with trees that it feels like you're in the North woods. Overall, it's a player-friendly golf course but there are some challenging par 5s and you'll definitely get a chance to work on your iron game. Heritage Glen's sixth hole might turn out to be one of the hardest par 5s you'll ever play. It stretches to 625 yards from the back tees with a marsh to the left and a bunker surrounding the green. Bogie is considered a good score on this tough hole.

I was very impressed and that doesn't happen easily
I tend to be very critical when it comes to golf courses. After reading some negative reviews about course condition and pace of play, I was skeptical about trying this course for the first time, especially on a Saturday. So glad we kept our tee time. The course is in great shape and rivals Angel's Crossing and other premium local public courses-at a fraction of the cost. The course is challenging, yet very fair. Great elevation changes and picturesque views. We will make it an annual stop going forward when going to Kalamazoo.
Very Dry and Slow Greens - uncut holes
Been playing this course since I was 11-12 yrs old. Still a solid layout and design. Unfortunate that weather and course changes have removed some of the difficulty. For as hard as the greens were they were very slow to putt and tee boxes chewed and burnt. Needs some TLC. But still decent value for the area
Pace
We called the club house on hole 7 due to being on pace for a 3-hour round. It took us 5.5 hours to play and when we asked to play through, we were told to F off. They said had 3 groups of 4 and we weren't cutting in btw. We called the clubhouse again and not a person ever came.
IT will be our last time.
Dry Course
Decent round of golf at a challenging course, though the fairways were a little dry, and some of the rough was really dry. Course has been in better condition, though rates are a little lower.
Great day
We got put behind a large group teeing off just before our tee time. We thought it would be a long day of waiting. We were wrong, the pace of play was outstanding! We finished at a steady pace with very little waiting.
Great Value
This is a very solid course for the money, well maintained, friendly staff, and some challenging holes.
Overpriced and slow
Course allowed a 6 and a 7 some out on the course which backed it up had to skip 3 holes it got so bad. And sand was on the green from treatments earlier in the week and no warning given. Pretty poor how much is charged
Greens Need Help
The staff is very professional. This was my first time playing the course and it was in a tournament. The greens are not in the best shape. There are patches of dead spots that will take your ball off line. Hit it and pray. The pace of play was good. The course is pretty wide open with plenty of trees. Fairways are in good shape. Once the greens are addressed, I would consider playing here again.
Greens Need Help
Some greens on the course had the same dry, sunburned patches from last summer. Hoping they can repair those to create a truly elite experience for this area.
Greens
One of the best layouts in all of Southwest Michigan just feel everyone should just know and it’s only fair that they know the greens are in horrible shape. It’s very unfortunate. I know they’re doing their best to bring them back but for now for the price I just can’t come back
Heritage Glen GC in November
The course was in great condition for early November. Driving range was closed as well as the bar and restaurant. The fall leaves were not too bad as they were mostly off the fairways and greens. It was a beautiful day!
Late fall fun
Course was in excellent condition for the time of the year. Greens rolled true. Nice course with a very reasonable price.
