Hidden gem! NH"s second oldest golf course and it was a pleasing experience. I was able to meet a long-term member who shared the Country Club will be breaking ground on a new club house shortly.
Greens were in perfect condition and played quick. The fairways were a bit tight, but didn't feel like they were on top of one-another.
Quite a few challenging holes. 6 out of 9 holes are drivable.
Nice 9 hole course
People there are pretty terrific from the Pro Shop folks to the on-course folks like the guy with the pipe and the guy with the dog.
Pace of play was a little slow due to walkers but that's understandable. You do have to be a little careful with stray shots as holes can be close to each other, specifically your 6th tee drive wandering out into the 7th hole fairway and tee area. Again, that's fairly typical here in New England.
Fun round of golf
The staff was very welcoming. The course had some late summer burn put but still very playable.
Bad experience with Golf Now
Purchased the golf now Hat Deal, did not realize it was only for nine holes. Looked at the confirmation and there was no indication on the confirmation whether it was 9 or 18, so we assumed 18. When we made the turn My two partners had teed off and then we were pulled out of line to pay causing a great deal of commotion at the tee and a number of angry golfers. Wish Golf Now was more specific and totally transparent to avoid this type of confusion
Quality 9 hole
Great 9 hole course you can play twice and walk easily. Greens are in good shape and the tee boxes are decent.
Enjoyable Round, great staff
Played with my 15 year old son(beginner), I am approx 15 handicap and shot 39, I putted very well and did not need to hit driver from the tips. This is a great beginner course, not a ton of trouble off the tee and is very straightforward layout until you come to the 9th hole which is a good finishing hole. having not played here in 15+ years I was unsure where to land it and took it into the 1st fairway.
Staff got us out on the course quickly and the bartender offered to fill our water bottles without us asking, it was a hot day we were very appreciative of that.
Since it was so hot we had no one in front of us and played in under 2hrs with ease.
If you are looking for an enjoyable 9 hole course this is a great place to go. I will be back soon probably for 18 next time.
Good 9 Hole Course
This is a good 9 hole course. Well kept, has a driving range and decent bar/ grill. My only issue was that it was advertised as an 18 hole course. I think this is more of a Golf Now issue, but it was very annoying. Especially after paying $50 each. Another $20 for carts to play each hole twice. I hope Golf Now fixes this as the course manager was also very confused as to why it was so expensive for 9 holes. (He comped as for the back 9, which was nice)
Great for the money.
Course layout and condition of the course and carts, etc. were great for the price.
Only beer, hotdogs, and cheeseburgers served, but the room and deck were nice.
Pro shop looked okay at a quick glance.
